[One tiny and sad advantage to having gone through this whole circus eight times is that at some point, nothing can surprise you anymore. Not even waking up on a park bench in Goldenrod with a Goldeen in your arms, a Magikarp tangled in your hair and a Finneon almost kissing you.

...Okay, so maybe that particular situation does surprise Cecil a little. Juste a little.

But certainly not enough to stop him from taking care of his weekly grocery shopping at the Department Store. Even if he's still wearing his pyjamas, his hair is messy, his make-up is nowhere to be seen and he has three fish in his shopping basket. He doesn't care about such silly details.

He does, however, care enough to greet the poor confused or not-so-confused people that surround him. The local biannual madness is no reason to be rude, after all.]

[The bandages wrapped around most of Cecil's body, along with the fact that he's sitting in a hospital bed, are a pretty bad start. That he seems deep in thought only makes it worse.]

Could anyone tell me if the nurses own any Water- or Flying-type Pokémon? Especially ones that can use HMs? Along with how fast they could theoritically go, compared to a Dragonite?

[...Somebody stop him.]

I'd also like to know about alternatives to shoes. Nothing that sticks to the skin, if that's possible.

[Seriously, this cannot possibly end well and he knows it. Somebody stop him.]

I'd appreciate any information you can offer.

[The feed first shows a messy room, where a disheveled white-haired man sits at a table and writes furiously. He is surrounded by trinkets of all sorts and books on various subjects, and he does not appear to realize that someone is using his Pokégear.

The camera then turns toward the ground, where a Bayleef is delicately placing a Fire Stone. The Pokégear is placed in front of it, and a Clefairy looks at it for a few seconds before nodding at an unseen Pokémon. Said Pokémon enters the picture, looking at the Fire Stone for a few seconds before touching it. It makes him glow brightly.]

What the- Flare?

[But by the time Cecil turns around and comes closer, Flare the Growlithe is no more. Instead, Flare the Arcanine stands proudly, dwarfing the rest of the Pokémon in the room. He howls once, twice, before walking up to his trainer and licking his face gently.]

...Thank you...

[The feed times out a few minutes later.]

[It appears someone has left a tall pile of snow in the middle of the Goldenrod Department Store. In the make-up section, as a matter of fact. Honestly, young people these days. They play mean-spirited pranks, not caring that the store's employees will have to clean that up, not thinking about the poor overworked janitors who would rather be at home, safe from the whims of the storm, No, they care only about their amusement, leaving behind snow piles that-]

Would a forest green lipstick look good with my coloring?

[-nevermind.]
paladinlost: (happy)
[Many objects are piling up in front of the Pokégear: food reserves, drinks, Potions of all kinds, enough Ice Heals to last a month, Pokéballs... Could someone be insane enough to brave the tempest?]

Squall, Suzuki, I'm leaving for Goldenrod; I need to buy a few items. Would you like me to bring you back anything? Oh, and Squall, a young lady was looking for you.

[Rosie appears, bearing a few Escape Ropes. She dumps them next to the pile before looking around for gloves.]

I'll try to defeat the Gym leader during my stay. Light, Firion, Bartz, Zidane, Miss Lenna, we could meet up at the Sudowoodo after that.

[But already he's paying more attention to his supplies than to his Pokégear. Avenger sighs and turns it off.]

...Why...

Does it matter? This world is unworthy of us. It has no crystals. It is below the notice of Baron's order.

Not again... How could I...

How could you? How could you not! This world has stolen us from our home! It has taken us from our vengeance!

Then again, those beasts might be helpful in retaking the crystals once we return to Baron. It is our duty to acquire as many as we can.

We don't need them! They are just as useless as the rest of them! As useless as the rest of you! Only I have the strenght to do what we must! Only I truly exist!

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. Please, you have to believe me!

There is no point in apologies. They betrayed us, did they not? Our own son, turning against us. He deserves no less than death.

They abandoned us, did they not? Brother and Kain both! Even Ceodore and Rosa chose them over us. They must pay for this!

I don't want to hurt them! I never wanted to hurt anyone! I never meant to kill-

But you did.

Ceodore! Rosa! Kain! Brother! Everyone! Please, forgive me! I never wished for this to happen once more!

...I'm sorry...

((Cecil is hallucinating his destruction of Mist and Mysidia, being possessed and forced to help destroy his world, and his darkness taking over his body to kill everyone he loves. At the same time. So he sees Cherrygrove as a corpse-covered burning ruin, and he keeps switching between the three modes. Replies will come from whichever side of him is out at the moment.))
