Finding a Fire-type Gym so close to a frozen cavern was unexpected, but they seem to be doing well enough.

[Cecil looks cheerful, proud and covered by a thin layer of frost. That's what happens when the whole battle is spent under Rain Dance and said frozen cavern is visited right after, but he doesn't mind.]

Two more badges to earn by August 29. Perhaps having sixteen has more of an effect than having only Johto's eight; we'll know soon enough

I do wonder about that... Or maybe if having the sixteen would open up a new challenge that may eventually lead people to their homes.

Considering that a new place opened up after a while, it wouldn't be too surprising.

Many who are familiar with this world have mentioned the Elite Four previously. Perhaps one with both Kanto and Johto's badges would be allowed to challenge them, or at least be told where they are.

So the cities are closer to each other than in Johto? I haven't studied much on Kanto's geography, but that is really convenient for the trainers.

I dunno, a bunch of fire types sounds like a pretty good idea if you're close enough to someplace with consistently freezing temperatures.

They'd certainly make exploring the cave easier, but I would have thought they'd prefer warmer homes. Especially since they are surrounded by water.

I was quite surprised myself, especially since I was told the next badge was on another island further away. Still, that makes my fourteenth victory here. I should soon have time to rest.

Frozen fire? No, it's merely cold. Even the Gym itself has very little fire, other than the Pokémon and the trainers.

Looks like I've got some catching up to do. Which gyms have you tackled so far?

Saffron, Vermillion, Cerulean, Celadon, Fuschia and Seafoam. Those last two were closer to each other than I thought.
