Finding a Fire-type Gym so close to a frozen cavern was unexpected, but they seem to be doing well enough.

[Cecil looks cheerful, proud and covered by a thin layer of frost. That's what happens when the whole battle is spent under Rain Dance and said frozen cavern is visited right after, but he doesn't mind.]

Two more badges to earn by August 29. Perhaps having sixteen has more of an effect than having only Johto's eight; we'll know soon enough

It does seem like species we'd never seen previously are starting to show themselves.

It makes you wonder how many there really are and how many different regions exist in this world about which we aren't aware. Johto and Kanto can't just be it, can they?

I've heard of smaller worlds, but they are called regions and not countries. There must be more than two.

Probably. It's a wonder we haven't really heard of them before now, though. I wonder why are only two accessible?

They might be found beyond the ocean. Considering the few ports available, travelling there could be expensive.

Physically difficult, too, depending upon the distance. This world really is a strange one.

Yet it seems stable, somehow. It's almost a miracle.

Almost. There has to be something to it. Something...

I'd almost call it a divine will, but if this world has any gods they'll be Pokémon.

Pokémon as gods?

Pokémon that are believed to be gods, or gods that are considered Pokémon. Their society is too centered around them for anything else.

Mmh, that's true. I just... hadn't really considered it before. Strange.

Considering our daily problems, we've little time to think about the divine.

That is true. I suppose it's something to think about now, however.

Another mystery we must add to the long list we must ponder.
