Finding a Fire-type Gym so close to a frozen cavern was unexpected, but they seem to be doing well enough.

[Cecil looks cheerful, proud and covered by a thin layer of frost. That's what happens when the whole battle is spent under Rain Dance and said frozen cavern is visited right after, but he doesn't mind.]

Two more badges to earn by August 29. Perhaps having sixteen has more of an effect than having only Johto's eight; we'll know soon enough

Should that ever become a threat, I'll simply have to take out my brave steed and use his fur as a towel. I doubt he'll mind.

My Arcanine. It's not quite like riding a chocobo, but his fur is much warmer than their feathers.

Oh! I bet they are. They're like Vulpixes, right?

I think both species are related, They can be found on the same routes, at least.

And you can ride on them?

If they let you. They are more than large enough for two riders, perhaps three if one is a child.

What about Ninetails?

Those are smaller, but they should still be able to carry a light rider.

Awesome! It'd be nice not to have to walk everywhere.

Flying works even better for that, but it's also more difficult to achieve.

Yeah, I've got Ren, but she's so small that I dunno if she could ever carry me anywhere.

She might still grow, or perhaps you could catch another.

Well, I have a Dratini. I'm pretty sure I'm good once she evolves.

That one will take care of everything. Flying, surfing...
