Everyone, good evening. I hope this day finds you in good health.

However, this is not a social call but an inquiry. Does anyone intend to leave Cherrygrove for Violet soon? I have offered to escort a few people there, and I was wondering if anyone would like to join us. Having access to a Pokémon large enough to ride would be optimal, but we can share if it comes down to it. We would depart tomorrow morning. If you are interested, please contact me on the Pokégear or in person. I am currently at the inn, and would be more than happy to answer any questions.

Still... It's good enough to know them. [ She should know. Having been without a Keyblade and relying on mostly magic attacks helped her until she regained it. Xion nods at the new information. ] Yeah... But Axel fought most of them off. [ And gained a few levels for him to learn Ember. Even now, you can tell he's quite proud of that.

Awesome! Only time would tell, though... And if his Trainer doesn't try to get into the fray to try and protect him, though. Axel seems to slightly slump at that part. That got him so worried. ]

You were quite lucky to start with a Fire-type. Few Pokémon are strong against them on the first few routes, and they can keep the cold away from you. He'll be an excellent partner.

[There's a way to make sure she doesn't do that! Just attack all the other Pokémon before she can even see them. Trust me, it works! ...And sadly, Flare really does believe his own trigger-happy advice.]

[ She smiles at that. ] Thank you. And it's not just him I have, too. [ Just got back her own Togetic aka "Bell" from Sora.

That's... a good idea! This would also help Axel to get over his natural timid nature, although his triumph over the group of Pidgeys has emboldened him somewhat. Maybe Cecil can help his own Trainer get Axel stronger? ]

[They'll have to stop to rest on the way, and Flare has a teamful of allies. Between the six of them and their trainer, they'll help Xion get Axel stronger in no time!]

[ Xion quickly shakes her head at that. ] No, someone I know gave her back to me... Apparently from the time I was here before, I had another Pokemon, and she evolved when she saw me.

[ Axel is so excite about this, in getting stronger and for the chance to meet more Pokemon. ]

That's good. Even if you do not remember her, I'm certain the two of you will get along. Did that person mention any other Pokémon you might have had, or was she the only one?

[There shall be awesome practice times! Maybe some Pidgey hunting, too, as revenge.]

[ Oooh, Axel'd be up for that. Stupid Pidgeys. They were just passing by! ]

At least you did not find yourself a whole team of previous team members. That would have meant quite a few missing memories.

[The bugs in Ilex Forest aren't much fun either. They're everywhere, and too weak to be challenging.]

Yeah. Though, it seemed like I wasn't here long enough to start that.

[ Bugs, shmugs! Axel'll just burn them away. Super effective, indeed! ]

[ Her smile grows a little at that. Cecil, you're such a nice guy. ] Thank you, Cecil.

[ Heck yeah! Bugs won't know what hit 'em. ]

[He tries his best.] You're welcome, Xion. Do you wish to sit on Flare, to see if you'llbe comfortable riding him?

[Every so often, using Aerial Ace against them is nice- riding? Are we going riding I love riding!]

[ Blinks, and slowly nods, looking up at Flare. ] Sure...

[ Big dog is big, possibly a whole foot taller than her. ]

[Big dog is now lying down on the floor, waiting patiently for Xion to climb on.]

Sit like you would on any other mount. Try to find a position that is comfortable and will stay so for long periods of time.

[ Slowly and hesitantly places her hands on Flare's back and tries to hoist herself up on top of him. First thing she does notice is that he's rather warm, even through her gloves, and fitting his name right. Xion grips some of his cream-colored fur around his head to right herself on his back, but not gripping hard enough. Then she looks to Cecil. ]

I think I'm fine like this.

Very well. Flare, try standing up.

[He does so, as delicately and slowly as he can.]

You can either hold on to his mane or to his shoulders, but do not bring your arms around his neck; he dislikes that. It might not seem stable at first, but on the road I'll be right behind you, so you won't risk falling off.

[ Thankfully, Xion doesn't wobble as much as she thought when Flare stands back up to full height. She does take to holding onto his mane, but makes a note to follow Cecil's instructions. She nods. ]

Thank you, Cecil. [ She looks down at Axel, who's been staring up at them, and grins a little at him. ] I'll have to put him back inside his ball when we travel, won't I?

[Flare starts walking slowly, to get her used to the way shifts.]

During the first day, at least. After, you'll be able to take him out if you feel stable enough to hold him in one of your arm. But if you keep him out, he'll have to stay out until we stop. Otherwise manipulating the pokéballs would distract us, and we might lose our balance.

[ Xion's never done this before, so she grips a little tighter on his mane when he actually moves. The walking itself doesn't jostle her too badly. ]

Okay. I'll do that. [ Looks to Flare. ] I'm getting the hang of this.

[He starts turning around, stopping then restarting again, walking backwards. Might as well get her used to everything that can happen.]

You learn rather quickly. The first time I rode a chocobo, I fell to the ground and nearly broke my arm.

[ Trying to move with Flare as he turns, finding she stays on better that way. ]

A chocobo? [ She makes a worried face at that broken arm part. ]

[Teensy little jumps now, not nearly as high as they'll be if he needs to avoid a patch of ice, but there's kind of a ceiling in the way.]

A species of bird that many worlds use as mounts. They are somewhat like Doduos, if you've seen any here. Without the second head, of course.

[ With this action, she holds on even tighter, but that's to be expected. She shakes her head when Flare lands once more. ]

Where could we see these Doduos?

[He'll be nodding toward the door, now. Think you can handle a longer walk?]

I've not seen any wild ones, but my friend Bartz has his Boko. Well, it was a Doduo; it's evolved since then.

[ She glances at Cecil, then the door. She nods. ]

It sounds like there's a whole variety of Pokemon out there...
