Everyone, good evening. I hope this day finds you in good health.

However, this is not a social call but an inquiry. Does anyone intend to leave Cherrygrove for Violet soon? I have offered to escort a few people there, and I was wondering if anyone would like to join us. Having access to a Pokémon large enough to ride would be optimal, but we can share if it comes down to it. We would depart tomorrow morning. If you are interested, please contact me on the Pokégear or in person. I am currently at the inn, and would be more than happy to answer any questions.

Roxas mentioned the Kanto region; as for the others, I don't know. The Pokégear does not include that information, and I've yet to find a complete atlas of the world.

[Cecil sees that too, and comes a little closer. Need a lift up, Axel?]

[ Xion falls silent at that, wondering how many regions that could be out there. This world seems so expansive...

... and Axel stops for a moment to turn to Cecil and points at his Trainer. Yup, he wants up. ]

[Cecil smiles, and bends forward a little, joining his hands together in front of him. They're at the right height for Axel to be able to jump on Flare's back easily.]

[ And Axel does jump on and then hops onto Xion's lap. She blinks, jolted from her thoughts, but she smiles a little. ]

Thank you, Cecil. [ She looks around them as they walk. ] Will others join us? What about Pence?

I spoke to a man named Lancer earlier; he's already left Cherrygrove, but once we catch up to him he'll join us for the rest of the trip. [He frowns softly.] I think I might have spoken to Pence before I left Violet. But I cannot be certain; that young man never gave his name, and I have been unable to contact him again. Did you manage to speak to him recently?

[ She also frowns in worry. Roxas told her to try and find him... ] No, I didn't. Sorry.

Perhaps he decided to work for some time, or to wait for spring before travelling. [A lot of people end up doing that, after all. Especially these days.] Or he might answer this message, and join us tomorrow. But neither of us could force him to come if that is not his wish.

... You're right. [ Almost slumps a little, but Axel waves at her, and she can't help but grin back at him. Axel then turns to the front and calls out to Flare. Cool sights on his back, yo. ]

I hope he's okay.

[Wait till we're running in the snow. It gets all white everywhere!]

If he was not, we would have heard of it on the Pokégear, or around the Pokémon Center. I doubt he left for Violet by himself.

[ She nods. He's right again. Judging from Roxas' words, Pence is just as new as she is to this world, so he'd at least be cautious... Xion then turns to Axel, who's making a bit of noise at the expanse of white all around them. ]

Snow...

It looks much nicer when it's not part of a storm, does it not?

[ Smiles. ] Yeah, it does. [ Looks to Flare and slowly gives his mane a few thankful strokoes. ] With Flare, I don't even feel cold at all. Thank you, Cecil and Flare.

[ Axel pipes up to say his thanks, too. ]

[Flare does his very best to lean into those strokes.] You're welcome. We are glad to be of help.

[ Nods in gratitude. ] I think I'm okay for now. Shouls we go back to the inn?

As you wish. [He leads the way back, with Flare trotting cheerfully beside him.]

[ Though Cecil has assured her she's being no trouble, Xion still feels, at least, that she should try to do something by herself. As soon as Flare stops after reentering the inn, Xion, after watching Axel hop back onto the ground, slides off of Flare. Of course, she forgot that Flare had to sort of kneel for her to first get on, and the distance, plus her hips are suddenly going, "what am bipedal", she teeters... and unceremoniously falls to the ground with a small cry. Axel himself jumps in alarm. ]

[Ah, the warmth of the Pokémon Center, perhaps they still have some hot chocolate- wait what.]

Xion? Are you alright? [Gentleman that he is, he goes to help her to her feet.]

I-I'm fine... [ Ohh, so embarrassing. Still, she stands, thanking Cecil for help, and giving Axel a single pat on his head to calm him down. ]

Flare is so solid, we tend to forget his back is a few feet high. Pokémon make that sort of jump look too easy, too.

Yeah. [ Axel's even tinier, and he has less leg length, so that jump he pulled off should've hurt him a little (not that she wanted it to), but the Pokemon looked just as fine as ever. ]

Hm... [ Now she feels rather... short. Sitting on Flare had given her new heights to look from, derp. ]

[He'd compare Pokémon to dragoons, but becoming a dragoon generally involves more training than 'jump off the dog'.]

Do you think you'll be able to sit on that back for four days with feeling sick of it?

I think I can handle it. [ Tries a small smile. ] He wasn't that uncomfortable.

[That small smile gets a bigger one in response.]

You might change your opinion after a few hours. Flare likes to show off by jumping over rocks and ice patches.

[ The smile falters only a little, but there's a slight visible frown on her features now. ]

Maybe now that you told me, he won't need to show off...?

I have no doubt that Flare can restrain those impulses. Is that not right, Flare?
