19th moon [video/action]
[The view of route 31 is nice enough. The sun is peeking between the clouds and shining upon the snow, which looks pure and untouched... Except for a small section where a Dratini is attacking every wild Pokémon he sees while a Feebas cheers him on. Luckily, their trainer is feeling too nostalgic to scold them.]
The last Pokémon I caught for myself was Esuna, nearly a month before I first reached this city. It happened not too far from the cave, in fact... But since then, my team has grown through eggs and gifts exclusively. Is it the same for anyone else?
[The camera is still pointing at route 31, but it turns a little toward the south, toward the city that lies beyond route 30.]
I'll leave for Cherrgrove tonight. I'll reach it soon, I promise.
[And the camera turns back to the training Dratini, until the feed times out.]

I don't mind trying to train them, but something else might be preferable. I'll see what I can find.

I'm glad you warned me. I wouldn't have wanted to stumble across that unaware. [he's a little overprotective of his Pokemon.]

The first few routes have little variety. Are you looking for a type in particular?
Something that can breathe fire or something would be nice, this weather is terrible and I haven't been able to cook anything since I got here.
The closest wild Fire-types can be found between Goldenrod and Ecruteak. Obtaining an egg might be easier.

It's been similar for me as well. I haven't caught a Pokémon for myself in quite a long time. But I don't mind so much. All the Pokémon I've received or hatched are lovely. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
I would never part with any member of my team. [Unless Firion comes back and wants his kids.] But I do admit that catching a Pokémon by yourself feels rather satisfying.
I agree. They're all wonderful. ...Yes. And it's been so long, I'm afraid I wouldn't be very good at it.
It takes some practice. My first capture was rather embarrassing, but I had little trouble with everyone's Christmas presents.
Oh dear. What happened on your first capture?
I missed. Twice. And the second ball hit one of my friends' head. And I had no means to weaken Avenger, as Rosie only had Normal-type attacks.
[Iris can't help but giggle.] That does sound like quite a rough time. But at least you managed to succeed!
I did, luckily. And now Avenger has become the strongest member of my team.
Re: [video]
How wonderful! You must be glad you were able to capture him!
I am, though the first few days were rather trying.
Did you not get along well?
I did. Rosie did not.

You're... Cecil, right? Roxas told me about you.
Did he, now? Indeed, I am Cecil. Do you happen to be Xion?
He told me I should be traveling with you and Pence to the next city.
I'd like to leave quickly, but we should also think about Pence in this, too. I'll be fine with whatever option. [ A beat, and she bows her head a little. ] I'm sorry for the trouble, Cecil.
[The six foot tall dog apparently agrees, because he comes by his trainer's side and nods.]
That's... an Arcanine?

It was nice meeting you, Cecil.

[Edward then smiles a tiny bit -- he's resting up in an inn room, don't worry about him at the moment.] As for captured Pokemon, I have already caught another. [Or, more like, it insisted on traveling with him.] A Pidgey... that is what your species is called, Lullaby? [He's asking the Pokemon who... seems to have made a nest on his hat, at the edge of the filming area. :|]
Pidgeys make good companions. In their last evolution stage, they are tall enough to fly with a human rider on their back.
They grow that large? I suppose that's not unreasonable, but...
Reaching that height will take a few weeks. You'll have an adorable little bird for some time still.
I'm sorry, Cecil. [Frooown.]
Ah... I think I'll be ready for that by then. I hope that he stops nesting in my hat when he grows up, however.
He should move on to a bigger nest after some time. I doubt your hat will be very comfortable once he becomes larger.
I... hope so. It would be dangerous... and, yes, a bit too small.
I've started sewing pillows, to keep eggs comfortable. I could make him a bigger one for his nest, if you want.
[Also kind of not mentioning from where, since most of those additions were actually Firion's pokemon.]
[He's actually beginning to appreciate the personalities of his own pokemon, actually.]
[How is that for a report?]
I see. Do you plan on getting more pokemon, to cover the other types?
[There's a pause, and Zidane shifts around.]
So, where are you now Cecil?
In Violet. [He smiles softly.] I'll leave for Cherrygrove tonight. Then, once I've spoken to Edward, I'll escort a few people back to Violet. ...I'm not quite certain what I should do first, after that.
Oh, okay! Good to know you're getting there at least. [He pauses, then tilts his head.] What do you mean by 'you're not certain'?
Wel, I'd not want to leave Edward alone too quickly. Yet there are some supplies that can only be bought in Goldenrod, and some of them would be useful for my new team members. ...I also think that we are ready to challenge the Ecruteak Gym. That makes three options.
Who said you have to leave Edward alone? [He smirks.] Looks like you got a lot on your plate, though.
He still needs to recuperate from the injuries he sustained at home. I'd rather not ask him to follow me and risk aggravating them. [He sighs.] But being able to run between cities easily has given me the need to be active. I think I missed being on the move.
I don't blame you. Once I get out there again I'm sure I'll realize I missed it too.
Once the weather clears up and spring arrives, we should all try to see how far we can go. We could earn our badges, catch new Pokémon, see this world... I think it would be nice.
That sounds like a good idea. Once it warms up, it'll feel great to stretch my legs again.
[He laughs a little.]
We'd be the size of a small town.
[IT'D BE LIKE A SMALL ARMY.]

We'd definitely have enough, with that. Because who really wants to walk so much?
