[The view of route 31 is nice enough. The sun is peeking between the clouds and shining upon the snow, which looks pure and untouched... Except for a small section where a Dratini is attacking every wild Pokémon he sees while a Feebas cheers him on. Luckily, their trainer is feeling too nostalgic to scold them.]

The last Pokémon I caught for myself was Esuna, nearly a month before I first reached this city. It happened not too far from the cave, in fact... But since then, my team has grown through eggs and gifts exclusively. Is it the same for anyone else?

[The camera is still pointing at route 31, but it turns a little toward the south, toward the city that lies beyond route 30.]

I'll leave for Cherrgrove tonight. I'll reach it soon, I promise.

[And the camera turns back to the training Dratini, until the feed times out.]

[There's a pause, and Zidane shifts around.]

So, where are you now Cecil?

I think Christmas made us all lazy. We received and received, so we completely forgot to catch.

In Violet. [He smiles softly.] I'll leave for Cherrygrove tonight. Then, once I've spoken to Edward, I'll escort a few people back to Violet. ...I'm not quite certain what I should do first, after that.

Pretty much. This cold weather thing has made me lazy period.

Oh, okay! Good to know you're getting there at least. [He pauses, then tilts his head.] What do you mean by 'you're not certain'?

Having to travel back to Cherrygrove put a stop to my laziness, at least.

Wel, I'd not want to leave Edward alone too quickly. Yet there are some supplies that can only be bought in Goldenrod, and some of them would be useful for my new team members. ...I also think that we are ready to challenge the Ecruteak Gym. That makes three options.

Well that's a good thing. I need a kick to get myself motivated.

Who said you have to leave Edward alone? [He smirks.] Looks like you got a lot on your plate, though.

Would a Gym badge and the prospect of being able to move between Goldenrod and Violet easily be enough to motivate you?

He still needs to recuperate from the injuries he sustained at home. I'd rather not ask him to follow me and risk aggravating them. [He sighs.] But being able to run between cities easily has given me the need to be active. I think I missed being on the move.

...That does sound nice.

I don't blame you. Once I get out there again I'm sure I'll realize I missed it too.

It would make it easier to reach Ecruteak, too.

Once the weather clears up and spring arrives, we should all try to see how far we can go. We could earn our badges, catch new Pokémon, see this world... I think it would be nice.

[He nods.]

That sounds like a good idea. Once it warms up, it'll feel great to stretch my legs again.

Perhaps we'll have the whole team here, by then. We came close in October, after all. Or even more friends from home. Can you imagine a travelling group of over thirty?

That...would be a lot of people, but I wouldn't complain.

[He laughs a little.]

We'd be the size of a small town.

I bet we could build an even bigger group, if everyone showed up. We could invite friends we made here. Then we'd definitely be enough for a small, or even medium-sized town.

Wow. How would we move everyone, then?

[IT'D BE LIKE A SMALL ARMY.]

If Cid were to show up, I bet he could build us an airship if we found enough materials. That would be nice.

It would definitely make traveling this place easier.

We could charge people for the service and make money on the side, too.

That would be nice, too. But we shouldn't charge too much.

Enough to pay for the ship maintenance, at least. That can get expensive after some time. But I think we'd have enough clients to do so without charging overly much.

[he nods.]

We'd definitely have enough, with that. Because who really wants to walk so much?

It won't by so bad during the summer, as long as we do not backtrack much. It's a shame we'll have missed most of the winter. Those storms would have been quite lucrative.

See, that's what we get for putting these two genius minds together earlier!

But would these two genius minds be able to build an airship? I can pilot them, but that does not mean I know how they're made.

...This genius mind wouldn't know what to tell you.

...We could start with a boat, and think about making it fly later. Going by sea would still be faster than walking.

Yeah. Well maybe there's someone else who knows about that sort of thing.
