74th moon [video]
It took some time to choose the right building and decorate it all, but my new house is finally ready.
[Cecil sounds very proud of that, and if those Pokémon cheering in the background are any indication he's not the only one.]
It is still missing a little something, however, and that something would be visitors. Therefore, I would like to invite you all to a small celebration in Celadon on February the 28th, starting at five in the afternoon. I would be happy to send my Flying-types to pick up anyone who might otherwise be unable to come, and hope to see you all there.
[He starts to turn the Gear off, but suddenly stops himself.]
I would also be very happy to find good homes for the eggs that were not adopted during the convention, if anyone would have them. I've no doubt they'd make any trainer or breeder very happy.

I'm looking to give Pokemon a good home!
video
video
[He says rather nervously because oh god saying that pains him so!]
video
[He remembers that terrible, terrible pain.]
My cheapest eggs would be the Caterpies for P500. They'll only know one additional attack at birth, but their movesets become more interesting once they evolve.
video
Sure, I'll take one. Gotta build up my party!

[He's been meaning to go to Celadon, anyway.]
[He blinks. When he heard that, he wonders if there's something in Celadon's tap water supply.]
Celadon's sound pretty nice to live in from what I've heard. I'm still traveling around Kanto, but I might settle down after I'm done with my journey.
[Atsuro would probably pick Kanto out of nostalgia.]
Although, I'm not that much of a biking person, but I can always give it a try.
[Which is a large improvement from his previous 'would rather die than stay here any longer'.]
Renting or buying a house becomes less expensive than stay at the inn once you stop moving. Besides, it offers the chance to let all of your Pokémon out at the same time.
[He rather not risk it, thanks.]
I can probably handle the rent or buying the house once I have a steady job. What about other bills, like electricity?
Awesome! It's kinda weird that they're rather low, but considering other possible expenses, I won't complain about it at all.
[Or maybe Cecil is just filthy rich.]
That's the most likely explanation. Although that'd make a little curious on how their economy works.
[Words and their multiple meanings, really.]
[He might have to.]
"People buy and sell ownerships for profits!"
Yeah, okay, he can do better than that.]
A stock trader is someone who owns, buy and sell stocks in the stock market, mainly to earn profit.
As for stocks... [Hm, how to explain them.]
Which are not any of the stocks I've mentioned or any other common definition, I assume...
You got that right. The simplest explanation I can think of is, well, stocks are basically ownerships of a product or company.
So a stock trader is someone who buy and sell their ownerships for profit.
[Perks of being online friends with adults.]
[His experience with computers is limited to 'put Pokémon here'.]
[Since...it can kind of affects the economy if it crash.]
I'm kinda surprised I didn't hear more about this in Johto and Kanto.
[None of them are immune to this world's whim. Not even Souji, who started the Breeding Centre with some help.]
[Strange and quite possibly unwise.]
[It's something he noticed. Atsuro paid attention to the news to keep up with current events, and how they can possibly affect his daily life. Like shopping.]
Like what about the big companies? Companies that are usually responsible for making products for the public.
Are eggs hard to take care of?
Okay. Would it be okay if I bought one, then?
Cool. Um. Okay, I'd like one of those.
[Pauses. That's a lot of money compared to what he has. Hm. Well, he was planning on finding some work. After a few more moments consideration, he nods.]
Okay. I'm in New Bark Town, right now.
[HE'S ELEVEN HE DOESN'T KNOW ALL THAT MUCH ABOUT MONEY.]
What kind of Pokémon are the Petilil? They any good in a fight?
[Once trained, of course. Lightning wouldn't throw a newly-hatched into a battle against a level 100. Cecil knows this.]
They're pure Grass-types, and that would depend on when you evolve them. They learn more attacks as Petilil, but that means missing out on Quiver Dance and possibly Petal Dance, which can both be extremely useful. But I've never had any trouble fighting with Cosmos.
She nods at the description, though the name of Cecil's makes her mouth twitch. Really?]
Could you send one on to Blackthorn? I'm headed that way now, but it'll take a couple more days to reach it.
Of course. The egg will be waiting for you there when you arrive. Or the Petilil herself; Ceo and Lia have been minding all the eggs, so they should hatch more quickly than they usually would.
That's fine. Lucky can keep her egg warm if it needs more time. [Fire types. A blessing in winter in more than one way.] I'll send you the money when I get there, alright?
Of course, it's no problem. I know you'd not try to skip town without paying.
Also, Cecil gets a small smile--it's less the concern that she'd skip without paying and more the concern that Cecil might have needed the funds sooner than a few days, but...]
I'll call you before I send it, then. Shouldn't take more than another two or three days.
[Because it does look seriously cold up there. He'll definitely have to send complimentary hot chocolate with that egg.]
[A show of her hands--yep. Those are some thick looking gloves and the sleeve of a thick coat on top of Leon's leather jacket. Lady may be coastal but she's learned how to bundle in her years here.]
No skin contact with your bird at this temperature? I hope he does not feel too insulted.
He hasn't been complaining about that. I think his wings getting ice on them bothers him more.
[Hence why he's huddled up against Lucky just off camera. Skarmory are durable yes but they still feel cold!]
[Or finding him little wings sweaters or something.]
[The wing sweaters, while cute, would probably just make things worse. Drag and resistance and more time in the cold. Urgh. They still have to fly back, too.]
[See, there's a reason why he actually decided to settle down now. Less traveling during the cold season!]
[Hey, Lightning was content to wait out the winter at the beach house she's fixing! Except someone she knows put his head so far into a foxhole that now he needs help getting out and...yeah she's got an idiot to save. Winter weather waits for no one.]
[Aaah, idiots. They explain so much about the universe at times.]
[So much. And it ends up being most of the time, too.]
[He knows how the universe works.]
[The universe that just loves to screw them over.]
[And yet they still fight for its sake. ...Why do they do that again?]
[Because the people in it are worth fighting for.]
[That they are. ...Mostly.]
[And those are the people sometimes not worth saving. Who doesn't take stock of what they show up with?!]
[...Which was three weeks after he first arrived, but there were... circumstances.]
video;
And Kan-chan and I will welcome more pokemon into our family, for sure!
video;
[Fighting over cakes with a Gyarados, finding Cecil's secret vodka stash...]
Is that so? What sort of species would you like to raise?
video;
A fighting pokemon who can help me practice in the mornings, I think!

[video] placeholder, i'll be back to tag both this and the log soon >__>
Well, if you're offering to bring us... as long as my girls come too, I'll be there!
[video] And the party log, of course?
[that and it's getting pretty damn lonely training on his own tbh.]
video
...but, the rest of that message has her pausing, and glancing at an egg list.]
Oh, so you're offering hatchlings, too...
video
[Still not as convenient as the castle, but he'll take what he can get.]
I am. We were present at the Breeders' Convention a few days ago, but not all were adopted.
video
-I've already purchased a couple, but I was hoping to find a fire-type, too.
video
video
[Excuse her, she's looking down at her 'dex and putting those names in, to get the basic information over and done with.
...except, the little dictionary has quite some odd things to say, so Mami tentatively pegs on-]
...what's it like, training those types?
video
[And if he might have a certain lack of energy in her presence at times, it's probably because he works so much.]
video
[That's some relieving firsthand input, since the description of the Litwick... That made them sound near as dangerous as anything she'd run into back home.]
Then, would it be alright if I adopted one of your Litwick eggs?
video
['Most' being the key word here.]
It would be wonderful, thank you. Where would you like me to send the egg?
video
I'm just in sight of Viridian City, though, so if you want to send an egg there, I'll be able to pick it up within a day!
video
video
Or do you have Esuna about now?
video
[And come she does, fluttering cheerfully.]
Re: video
[Hello, Miss Esuna. Mami is properly impressed.]
She must be very strong to carry eggs!
video
video
Was that because she was little, newly hatched, or because she evolved and had to learn to fly?
video
video
Except larger, of course. I shouldn't have a problem spotting Esuna, when she come's calling.

I've heard the Pokémon needs to know how to fly, but is that just something you train from to do?
