74th moon [video]

It took some time to choose the right building and decorate it all, but my new house is finally ready.

[Cecil sounds very proud of that, and if those Pokémon cheering in the background are any indication he's not the only one.]

It is still missing a little something, however, and that something would be visitors. Therefore, I would like to invite you all to a small celebration in Celadon on February the 28th, starting at five in the afternoon. I would be happy to send my Flying-types to pick up anyone who might otherwise be unable to come, and hope to see you all there.

[He starts to turn the Gear off, but suddenly stops himself.]

I would also be very happy to find good homes for the eggs that were not adopted during the convention, if anyone would have them. I've no doubt they'd make any trainer or breeder very happy.

Dealing with the economy? Like as a stock trader?

Farmers...? [Um.] Uh, I don't mean that kind of stock.

Not that either. [Is he going to explain the stock market to Cecil...?]

[Oh boy. How to explain the stock market to someone who clearly doesn't have them in their world?

"People buy and sell ownerships for profits!"

Yeah, okay, he can do better than that.
]

A stock trader is someone who owns, buy and sell stocks in the stock market, mainly to earn profit.

As for stocks... [Hm, how to explain them.]

[Which he's trying to think of right now.]

You got that right. The simplest explanation I can think of is, well, stocks are basically ownerships of a product or company.

So a stock trader is someone who buy and sell their ownerships for profit.

There's usually a lot of paperwork involved. But most of the trading is also done digitally. Granted, I don't really trade stocks, so most of it is what I heard from my friends.

[Perks of being online friends with adults.]

Pretty much! But with a much larger and more secure database, once you have someone trustworthy enough to set it up.

[Since...it can kind of affects the economy if it crash.]

I'm kinda surprised I didn't hear more about this in Johto and Kanto.

Only if they're extremely optimistic, but even that's not enough. Probably why I don't see any news about the stock market at where we can see it.

[None of them are immune to this world's whim. Not even Souji, who started the Breeding Centre with some help.]

Yeah. I know the Department Store's big and important enough for the general public, but it's still strange.

[It's something he noticed. Atsuro paid attention to the news to keep up with current events, and how they can possibly affect his daily life. Like shopping.]

Like what about the big companies? Companies that are usually responsible for making products for the public.

Uh huh. [Now he have another thing to look into.] Even if they keep the actual production's a secret, they still need to advertise their products and show for it.
