It took some time to choose the right building and decorate it all, but my new house is finally ready.

[Cecil sounds very proud of that, and if those Pokémon cheering in the background are any indication he's not the only one.]

It is still missing a little something, however, and that something would be visitors. Therefore, I would like to invite you all to a small celebration in Celadon on February the 28th, starting at five in the afternoon. I would be happy to send my Flying-types to pick up anyone who might otherwise be unable to come, and hope to see you all there.

[He starts to turn the Gear off, but suddenly stops himself.]

I would also be very happy to find good homes for the eggs that were not adopted during the convention, if anyone would have them. I've no doubt they'd make any trainer or breeder very happy.

That she is. She's been training with me for almost two years and a half; at first she could not even fly.

Was that because she was little, newly hatched, or because she evolved and had to learn to fly?

Because she was a caterpillar at first. It took two evolutions for her to gain her wings.

So she's a Pokémon that mimics butterflies back home.

Except larger, of course. I shouldn't have a problem spotting Esuna, when she come's calling.

You certainly will not. She can be... persistent, during deliveries. I'd not be surprised if she found you first.

-I'll warn the bakery staff to keep a lookout, then. That might be a surprise if I'm in the back.

That would be for the best, yes. Otherwise her sleep powder might mix with the flour, and that would be bad.

It'd be for the best. Obtaining enough money to travel comfortably is important.

-do you mean supplies for the road? I thought we had to travel namely on foot. Save for the ferry, that is.

I mostly meant the supplies, but you can also buy bicycles in Goldenrod and Celadon. Flying is even quicker, but it is free as long as you have the prerequisites.

Oh- what does that require?

I've heard the Pokémon needs to know how to fly, but is that just something you train from to do?

Not quite. You need the Fly HM, which can be won from two Gym leaders or borrowed from a friend, one of the badges that can activate the HM, unless you happen to be a breeder, and a Pokémon that can use the HM. Luckily, those are quite common.
