It took some time to choose the right building and decorate it all, but my new house is finally ready.

[Cecil sounds very proud of that, and if those Pokémon cheering in the background are any indication he's not the only one.]

It is still missing a little something, however, and that something would be visitors. Therefore, I would like to invite you all to a small celebration in Celadon on February the 28th, starting at five in the afternoon. I would be happy to send my Flying-types to pick up anyone who might otherwise be unable to come, and hope to see you all there.

[He starts to turn the Gear off, but suddenly stops himself.]

I would also be very happy to find good homes for the eggs that were not adopted during the convention, if anyone would have them. I've no doubt they'd make any trainer or breeder very happy.

Wonderful. There will be food and plenty of space for everyone, however the weather will turn out.

The weather's been pretty good for a while, so hopefully it'll keep it up until the party. How's Celadon for you?

I try not to drink the tap water, but otherwise I love it. Saffron and Goldenrod are easy to reach, and there is always the possibility of going on a biking vacation.

Tap water...?

[He blinks. When he heard that, he wonders if there's something in Celadon's tap water supply.]

Celadon's sound pretty nice to live in from what I've heard. I'm still traveling around Kanto, but I might settle down after I'm done with my journey.

[Atsuro would probably pick Kanto out of nostalgia.]

Although, I'm not that much of a biking person, but I can always give it a try.

There are Grimers living in the local ponds. I'd rather not take any chances.

[Which is a large improvement from his previous 'would rather die than stay here any longer'.]

Renting or buying a house becomes less expensive than stay at the inn once you stop moving. Besides, it offers the chance to let all of your Pokémon out at the same time.

In that case, I'll just have to make sure to check the water supply. Or find a good water filtering system.

I can probably handle the rent or buying the house once I have a steady job. What about other bills, like electricity?

I found them surprisingly low, considering the usefulness of all those services. But then I do work quite a few hours each week.

[As someone who's familiar with bills, this is great news.]

Awesome! It's kinda weird that they're rather low, but considering other possible expenses, I won't complain about it at all.

Perhaps they are aware of the expenses feeding dozens of Pokémon involve and have decided to be kinder with the other bills.

[Or maybe Cecil is just filthy rich.]

[Not everyone can be as rich as you, Cecil. Only Atsuro can dreams of it. (Imagine all the hardware he can buy!)]

That's the most likely explanation. Although that'd make a little curious on how their economy works.

By all rights it simply should not. It's missing too many essential elements. And yet it does, somehow.

Either they have some kinda secrets behind their economy...or it's one of those things we shouldn't ask about.

I certainly will not unless we have no other choice. I have a feeling it would drive me to madness.

Besides, I already have to deal with the economy of a country at home. I've no intention of taking up that sort of interest here.

I've no need to trade stocks myself. The farmers take care of their own more than aptly.

A stock trader is someone who owns, buy and sell stocks in the stock market, mainly to earn profit.

As for stocks... [Hm, how to explain them.]

You got that right. The simplest explanation I can think of is, well, stocks are basically ownerships of a product or company.

So a stock trader is someone who buy and sell their ownerships for profit.

...How does one prove that they possess said ownership? The paperwork involved must be terrible.
