You'd think that after a year and seven months, the locals would be unable to surprise me anymore.

[This strange introduction comes with the image of an innocent-looking house. An innocent-looking house that has a pond and fences blocking its door, in fact. Rosie the Clefable is standing in front of it; every so often, she pokes the water's surface with curiosity.]

Necessitating either Surf or Fly to leave your house cannot possibly be practical. What if your Water- and Flying-types are ill? What if you have guests? What if your children wish to go play with friends? I doubt it's even sufficient to stop... thieves...

[He trails off as he stares in horror at the pond. Even Rosie stops touching the water and joins him in staring. Of course, that could be because of the slimy purple limb that just grabbed her arm.]

...Having Grimers in your water cannot be healthy. Goodness.

[He turns the Gear off, now. His little girl needs rescuing.]

Er, well... I-I more meant it in the sense that... It's not as if all the water in the city comes from there...? It would explain the perfume shops if they have them here though...!

...This little pond cannot possibly water the whole city. Hopefully. They would have left by now, if that were the case.

Ah, so it's... really that small? Okay, that's... a relief.

*... and then the ACTUAL IMPORTANT THING hits him* AHHH! Wait, Cecil-san, you're in town!!

I am indeed. The whole team was quite motivated by the thought of visiting a new city; I believe we set a speed record travelling here.

--then, um! Do... Do you want to meet up?! W-We could go get some tea or a bit to eat or even just talk if you're not thirsty or hungry...!

*always a little over eager to meet people in person for the first time.*

That would be lovely. I've not yet had the chance to see all that this city has to offer, and we'll be available the whole day...

[A beat.]

...Once Rosie's arm is cleaned, at least.

Ah... Y-Yes! I haven't seen it all myself either yet, since it's quite the big city and all...!

That it is, though I have to admit I expected Kanto's Department Store to be in Saffron instead.

--ah! That's right, it's here, huh...? I'm a little intimidated by it to be honest, so I haven't ventured inside... Still, it must be so they can spread their big landmarks around, right?
