[Cecil is out shopping in the Department Store. Again, you might want to say. But this time he holds the Pokégear with his left hand while the rest of his body is buried by bags and boxes of all kinds, and people can see a feminine hand adding more to the pile every so often.]

I would like to thank everyone who has sent me gifts. All of your choices were extremely thoughtful, and I have no doubt I will enjoy all of them.

I would also like to apologize to every trainer who might have wanted to challenge Whitney this afternoon. I was unaware that drying her tears would involve taking over her day. On my honor, I swear I will try to convince her to return to the Gym before nightfall.

Good. He did seem like he would behave, but since he spent most of the time in the PC I couldn't be sure.

[He keeps his promises, dammit.]

He seems to be much better behaved than Bartz and Ahriman.

[This is past the point of promise, and somewhere into torture.]

That says very little, considering their personalities.

[Torture is something that can be withstood. He's not withstanding right now.]

More like Sarah, then.

It is. Having a third pokemon like them would be rather difficult to manage.

[Try to keep that in mind the next time you offer to help a Gym Leader, Cecil.]

Having an overly aggressive team member would not be much better.

[Hopefully someone already took care of the Ampharos. Or else...]

Fortunately, I seem to have avoided getting a pokemon like that, thus far.

[Of course, he just needs to wait to get past Goldenrod. Then he'll get his belligerent pokemon.]

Then again, for the life of me I cannot imagine an aggressive Wooper.

[Ooooh? *is curious*]

I doubt that it is possible, though after having Bartz for so long, it is difficult to imagine a Wooper with a different personality.

[There will be a Ryhorn named Garland.]

It's the face. It looks too nice to be violent.

Mischievous, on the other hand...

[It will do its utmost to earn that name, too. From the very first encounter.]

Well, no one is perfect.

[By ranting about fate and the endless cycle of war?]

Still, I wish they would learn to control themselves.

[...Well, mostly by attacking. Though I suppose it could probably manage a few of those.]

Encourage them to behave, and hope the rest of your team will serve as good examples. By this point, you can do nothing else.

[They might need an interpreter.]

And keep them away from Bartz and Zidane as well.

[It might be better if they don't have one, in order to avoid being subjected to those rants.]

An excellent idea, to be sure. Add Zidane's Ambipom to that list, just in case.

[But villains always get the best speeches!]

...Perhaps it would simply be easier to keep them in their pokeballs except for battles or training. [Not that he doesn't try to do that anyway.]

[Yes but they were speeches about THE WRONG THING.]

[Well, what are villains supposed to talk about? Flowers and rainbows?]

[Well, they could at least have stopped their rants for a while.]

They tend to be rather strong-willed indeed.

[Hey, at least Light didn't have to deal with his own brother going 'Your belief in your friends is your weakness blah blah blah'.]

In any other situation, I would believe it to be a good thing.

[Maybe not, but he does have to deal with rants from like five different villains.]

Would you rather have a team of mindless drones?

[Yeah, but they believed what they said. In the end Golbez goes 'Your bonds and determination have passed my test :DDDD' and you're left to wonder why he didn't just snap Kefka's neck if he wanted to help.]

I would prefer to have a team that I know will not cause trouble, should I leave them unsupervised.

[That just means that Golby was trying to look out for Cecil! In a rather twisted way, but still.]

I'm sure they behave, when it truly matters.
