[Cecil is out shopping in the Department Store. Again, you might want to say. But this time he holds the Pokégear with his left hand while the rest of his body is buried by bags and boxes of all kinds, and people can see a feminine hand adding more to the pile every so often.]

I would like to thank everyone who has sent me gifts. All of your choices were extremely thoughtful, and I have no doubt I will enjoy all of them.

I would also like to apologize to every trainer who might have wanted to challenge Whitney this afternoon. I was unaware that drying her tears would involve taking over her day. On my honor, I swear I will try to convince her to return to the Gym before nightfall.

Well, no one is perfect.

[By ranting about fate and the endless cycle of war?]

Still, I wish they would learn to control themselves.

[...Well, mostly by attacking. Though I suppose it could probably manage a few of those.]

Encourage them to behave, and hope the rest of your team will serve as good examples. By this point, you can do nothing else.

[They might need an interpreter.]

And keep them away from Bartz and Zidane as well.

[It might be better if they don't have one, in order to avoid being subjected to those rants.]

An excellent idea, to be sure. Add Zidane's Ambipom to that list, just in case.

[But villains always get the best speeches!]

...Perhaps it would simply be easier to keep them in their pokeballs except for battles or training. [Not that he doesn't try to do that anyway.]

[Yes but they were speeches about THE WRONG THING.]

[Well, what are villains supposed to talk about? Flowers and rainbows?]

[Linefaaaace, Cecil.] I doubt they would let me anyway.

[Well, they could at least have stopped their rants for a while.]

They tend to be rather strong-willed indeed.

[Hey, at least Light didn't have to deal with his own brother going 'Your belief in your friends is your weakness blah blah blah'.]

In any other situation, I would believe it to be a good thing.

[Maybe not, but he does have to deal with rants from like five different villains.]

Would you rather have a team of mindless drones?

[Yeah, but they believed what they said. In the end Golbez goes 'Your bonds and determination have passed my test :DDDD' and you're left to wonder why he didn't just snap Kefka's neck if he wanted to help.]

I would prefer to have a team that I know will not cause trouble, should I leave them unsupervised.

[That just means that Golby was trying to look out for Cecil! In a rather twisted way, but still.]

I'm sure they behave, when it truly matters.

[...He still could have snapped Kefka's neck. As a birthday present. :(]

In battles, they do.

[Well, the next time you see Kefka, I'm sure he'll do that for you, Cecil.

[...But that's a prequel, so killing him would mean nothing. ;_;]

I have no doubt they grew on you over the last few months, for all their mischief.

[...You know, between Duodecim and FFIVCC, that's two prequels that Cecil remembers (if only vaguely) that I know nothing about. What if Firion ended up killing Golbez or something? That might have an effect on the CR.]

[Well, for Duodecim, it's easy enough to avoid- they don't have to remember it.]

...Do you think we'll find a way to bring them back home with us?

[Or my personal favorite, 'Cecil only remembers the whole thing hazily and when faced with something that forces him to recall it', which is technically what's going on with the first Dissidia anyway. He already thinks Cloud's young lady friend looks a bit familiar.]

I could not say, but if we are able to... our worlds are very different from theirs.

[That works! I'm just waiting 'til the game has more definite info out, and him not finding things familiar can be blamed on WoL's horrible memory.]

We manage to survive here, do we not? They could learn to live in our worlds, too. I believe it.

[At least he remembers the current team members. That's better than nothing. ...Why do I have a feeling the whole team is going to have a long talk in March/April?]

Still, this world is... soft.

[Because there will probably be need for that long talk.]

[And then there are the other ~Epic storylines~ presented by trailers- backstabbing from Kain, Terra being controlled, and wtf potential correption of WoL.]

We merely need to believe in them.

[Plus whatever will happen during the supposed Chaos storylines. And all the potential comments about the third costumes. 'So, what happened to Tidus' shirt anyway?' 'The moogle ate it.' 'Your best friend attacked me!' 'Dear old Kain, he never changes.']
