12th moon [video/action for Burned Tower]

Well, I've finally found a building of historical and mythical significance.

[The video is somewhat dark, but Cecil can be seen, looking attentively at the walls.]

I was unable to visit the matching tower, sadly. But the associated legend is rather interesting. One Pokémon reviving three others... That would take more than the equivalent of a Phoenix Down. Or of a Raise spell.

[He takes a Revive from his pocket and shows it to the camera.]

I also managed to find a few items between all the rocks. Hidden objects and capsules that serve as treasure chests; it almost feels like home. Has anyone found interesting objects on the road?

I heard it from locals in Ecruteak, when I asked around about this burned tower. Though they speak of it more like an historical fact than a legend.

Historical fact you say? So, they believe in this Pokemon that can revive three others? It's too bad you weren't able to explore the matching tower.

It is within the city proper, around the northern limits. West of the pond, if it helps.

Did they give you a reason why they denied your entrance? I hope they weren't unkind to you!

They were firm, but polite. I believe the tower is simply off-limits to visitors.

Ecruteak is about a week from Goldenrod, which would mean... two weeks from Azalea? Three?

Oh that's good. Well, I'm sure they had their reasons for not allowing the general public inside.

That sounds about right. Are you planning on continuing to move that direction? I know I will be heading for Goldenrod soon, as many of my friends are there.

I do intend to visit Goldenrod after my work week is done. Ecruteak is quite nice, but Goldenrod is a better place to shop for... 'Christmas', I believe it was called?

My world has no such holiday, but I find the idea of it wonderful. And it gives me an excuse to spoil all of my friends with gifts, too. Who would say no to that?

Being able to see the person we talk to is a step up from letters, but nothing is better than meeting in person.

I've already started looking for presents [and at this he points at a Pokéball peeking out of his bag], but I admit some of my friends are hard to shop for. I've completely forgotten what teenagers want or need as gifts.

I see...well, that does make things difficult. I'm sure warm clothing would be appreciated this time of year. I'm sure Trainers would appreciate gifts that would help them make their Pokemon stronger.

Are they that different? Well, then, I suppose you'll just have to get something for them that seems to be something they would like. You know them, and I don't, or at least, I'm sure I don't know all of them, so I can't help you much in this regard.

Weapons. Armor. Battle accessories. Healing items. Pratical gifts, in general. [Sorry, Iris. Weapon collecting comes with the whole JRPG protagonist thing.]

Oh...well, it would be difficult to find such things in Johto. But you can still give them practical gifts like TMs and Potions.

I was thinking about a few Fire-types. With winter's arrival, they can pull double duty as team members and sources of warmth.
