11th moon [Whatever, it's 4th wall time]

[So. Cecil woke up thanks to a strange flash of light, only to find an unknown Pokémon in his room.  How did he react? Why, by inviting it to a picnic and making as many sandwiches as he could, of course!

Well, actually he blinked, froze, stared, almost shouted, decided against it, reached for his sword, remembered he didn't have his sword, cursed his lack of a sword, realized the monster was still there, stared some more, asked if said monster was hoping to eat him, felt quite relieved when it shook its head, stood up, looked outside, saw all the strange people and Pokémon in the street, decided he was hallucinating, woke his Pokémon up, got dressed, smiled, and finally decided to invite the amused Pokémon to a picnic. But who cares about the details?]

And here we were, wondering what would happen this month. At least the colors are not eye-searing, this time. Would you like another ham and lettuce sandwich, Miss Cresselia?

Once you become accustomed to it... I can see that it is.

Of course, after she dyed her hair, everyone was expecting Palom to dye his blue. I suspect his refusal to do so is what truly separated them in people's minds.

I suppose that would make them more individualistic....

Would it? They'd both have matching hair and clothes, and they would both have brightly-colored hair.

[The bright coloring would distinguish them, and yet... that's true too.]

Perhaps they're best off as they've chosen, considering that.

Or perhaps they could switch every month. This way, no way would get tired of the colors.

Indeed it would be. It's still strange enough thinking of them being grown...

It's even stranger to hear them talk about relationships or carrer plans.

Then again, it's also strange to think about Edward or Edge as middle-aged.

Is that so? Yet you must have plans for that future, to some point.

I... well, I do, but I still wonder if some of it will be impossible to achieve.

I doubt it is. Even if it has not yet been achieved by my time, you'll still have many decades to live. Unless you were planning to own private island by the time you were thirty...

All I want is to defeat the Darkness inside of me. Even if it takes an entire lifetime, I'll not stop trying until I've conquered it...

[And the best friend heroically sacrificing himself isn't much better.] As long as you do so at your own pace and obtain results, I suppose the rest of us have no right to complain. But do remember that we miss you.
