[So. Cecil woke up thanks to a strange flash of light, only to find an unknown Pokémon in his room.  How did he react? Why, by inviting it to a picnic and making as many sandwiches as he could, of course!

Well, actually he blinked, froze, stared, almost shouted, decided against it, reached for his sword, remembered he didn't have his sword, cursed his lack of a sword, realized the monster was still there, stared some more, asked if said monster was hoping to eat him, felt quite relieved when it shook its head, stood up, looked outside, saw all the strange people and Pokémon in the street, decided he was hallucinating, woke his Pokémon up, got dressed, smiled, and finally decided to invite the amused Pokémon to a picnic. But who cares about the details?]

And here we were, wondering what would happen this month. At least the colors are not eye-searing, this time. Would you like another ham and lettuce sandwich, Miss Cresselia?

My name choices have a bit more variety. Avenger was named after one of my blades, and 'Firaga' is actually Flare. Sadly, I have not yet found one to name 'Meteor' or 'Holy'.

Ah, but he's a Ghost-type. I was keeping that name for a Dark-type.

[Avenger grins and uses Shadow Ball on a rock. He doesn't get to show off that often.]

We are in Violet City, in the region of Johto. Home to the nearby Dark Cave, some mysterious ruins a few days away, a Flying-type gym and a tower full of monks that do not like children. This is not the most interesting city around, sadly.

I wasn't being greedy. The shopkeepers do not accept gil, only the local currency. I merely wished to know the limits of this power. [Though actually getting the gil would have been nice too.]

That's dumb. Everyone should just use the same money. Things are a lot less compliciated that way.

I know of eleven other worlds that use gil. But beyond that, there are so many types of money that I have no idea how anyone could keep track of them.

I've got a good idea. You should all switch to chocolate cookies. Everyone knows about those and they're delicious.

We'd just switch all the bankers to chocolate cookie making duty instead so there'd be enough to go around.
