Cecil Harvey is not a wasteful person.

In fact, he's such an unwasteful person that he spends a large part of the weekend teleporting up to random confused souls, offering them ice cream and sandwiches aplenty, and teleporting away.

All of that with hair that looks like it came out of a shampoo commercial, of course.]

She'd have done well mentally, but in battle... Few are the people here who are properly trained.

Kitchen knives far too quickly blunted, frying pans, perhaps particularly sturdy chairs... Our options are few.

The children are safe here. That's more than can be said for other countries.

I'd argue that children don't need safety, they need to face the world as it really is and learn from it.

...And what if the world they are currently in truly is safe, as far as worlds go?

A surprising number of them, according to people with whom I've spoken.

Could that truly be possible? Aren't conflicts and wars universal on all worlds? Surely no one could manage to be so entirely peaceful. Not all the time anyway.

Perhaps not all the time, but long enough for certain people to never know war during their lifetime.

How strange that must be... to never have such a threat... and rather dull.

[But he's always had a rather warrior mentality, he's not sure how to exist in any other way... especially after the gods' conflict.]

Many a parent would wish for such dullness in their child's life, if only to ensure they'd someday have grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
