After many battles against the local Grimer population, I've come to the conclusion that Bloobers are not Poison-types, leaving only sixteen other possibilities.

[Cecil is probably not the only one that has figured that out by now, but he looks quite solemn as he shares that particular bit of information.]

That said, while they are not poisonous, eating their slime is a terrible idea for both humans and Pokémon, including those who can normally eat burnt food without any trouble. It should not be attempted, even on a dare, unless you enjoy messes and unpleasant stomach aches.

[A very Arcanine-like whine can be heard some distance away, followed by an unhappy gurgle.

Cecil drops the Serious PSA face and sighs, shooting a quick glare at the offscreen dog.]

Thus, I need recommendations for air fresheners. Any smell will do, as long as it stays strong for hours. Please.

I've found a few incense sticks around the Poke'Marts. They have the cones too. They're usually in the very back...and the Pokemon Centers sometimes have these little scented candles called Sweet Scents on the counter for sale by the treats.

...Do they sell any of those by the hundred? I'd need enough to cover my whole house for at least a few days, to be safe. Hopefully not weeks.

Do they sell air fresheners here? Or some incense. That usually lasts.

Buying mints might help too. They have some strong peppermints here. Keeps the taste out of your mouth at least.

I think they might have some on the fourth floor of the Department Store. Hopefully their stock will be sufficiently large.

Are mints safe for dogs to eat? Flare's stomach has no issue with even the most inept cooking, but I'd still rather not take any chances.

As for the mints. I'm not much of a dog expert, maybe try asking at the pokemon centers? They should help you at at least though. It's hard to smell much of anything when you have some of the really strong peppermints.

I'd have to drench myself in perfume first, but that's excellent idea. And if the mints are not safe, I might as well buy enough spices to experiment for the next week or two.

Boiled vinegar is a good way to get rid of smells quickly. After that you can boil some nice fruits, herbs, and spices to make a room smell better without covering things up.

It lasts as long as you have the materials to replace them. Plus with the fruit mixture you can strain it and make tea or something. I suggest something mixed with ginger its good for stomach aches.

Oh yeah, I suppose if you boiled large amount of vinegar all at once it will get rid of the smell faster.

My nose is considering the advantages of a swift death and so is my Arcanine, but we're otherwise well enough. We've been Grimer-free ever since this started.

...Frankly, I almost wish the Grimers were back instead. But their one successful attempt to poison Bavarois turned out to be very informative.It was the first time I saw it upset, too.

Though I'm afraid I've no suggestions for the smell.

That it is. Even finding out that they were susceptible to poison took some time; most of the wild Pokémon are too busy staring to attack.

I've been told that vinegar would be effective. I can only hope that is true.

You would think simply observing their reactions to various attacks would be enough, but they seem to have the same response to everything. Or lack thereof.

Mine even tried to hug a Grimer that was attacking it. Either its moveset is... unique, or it does not quite get the goal of battling.

[Or both, for all he knows.]

Vinegar is not the most pleasant odor, but I'd still take it over this. Most of my team begged to be sent to the PC, rather than stay in the house.
