I think they're mounting an attack on the house. Send help.

In theory, they can. In practice, the combined smell of all those Grimers is so overpowering that most of my team is too ill to fight.

[He moves the Gear around to show one of his Gardevoirs, desperately trying to stand up but looking too queasy to manage it.]

Their presence is a recent event; my team dug and filled the pond after we bought the house.

[And then, in less than twenty-four hours, Grimers!]

There should have been not time for the water to become polluted. Perhaps the soil itself is contaminated.

Those are not mine. They've been invading my garden and pond for the last few months.
