77th moon [video]

[You know what's a great sight in the morning? Grimers. Over a dozen Grimers, all emerging from a pond, caught on camera from the safety of Cecil's kitchen. They don't look very happy.]

I think they're mounting an attack on the house. Send help.

[Preferably before the smell sticks to his clothes permanently.]

I guess so. But still... not the kind of attack dog I would like to have, I think. I'm good with one of my own Pokémon taking care of potential burglars.

[He looks a little unsure.]

I would imagine it would though I mean if you can't be poisoned, then you can't be poisoned, right? But I don't know...

You would think! But then again the burglars are probably also trainers so that sort of nullifies that advantage somewhat. Especially if ghost types are involved, do you have any idea how easy it is to use them for breaking and entering?

[Reasons we should be glad John isn't the nefarious sort.]

Hurr...yeah that would be bad. Maybe you should just try treating the ground? Like go ahead and assume that something IS wrong with it. If nothing's wrong than maybe it wouldn't hurt anything to treat it anyway? I don't know I know basically jack shit about ecology.

Ooo yeah, you're right. She would honestly probably be the best one to ask. Especially considering how many grass types are dually poison-typed.
ghostytrainer: (why would you ever?!)

Oh god the berries. Why do things that look so delicious actually have to be so very bad for you?

[It's just not fair.]

That aside though, was the implication there that Pokémon are the more dominant species in this world? At least from a natural standpoint?
ghostytrainer: (woah that's a full rainbow.)

Yeah...it really almost makes you wonder why the whole set up isn't reversed. Or well...maybe not reversed so much as why they even bother with us at all. Like letting us capture and raise them and stuff. I mean they really shouldn't HAVE to, all things considered.

Oh right. You know, I never really thought about that that way. The TMs and tutor moves. And I guess for smaller, more vulnerable Pokémon like Caterpie, being with a trainer improves their survival rate. They stand a better chance of making it to their Butterfree stage without being eaten by a particularly wily Pidgeotto or something.

Still, though, for as many advantages over us as they have, it really doesn't seem like most of them are particularly inclined to take them.
