Rosa, Rydia, are you both still well? Flare needs to rest first, but we'll soon be able to come find you. We'll not be long, I promise.

Could anyone tell me more about the Mahogany and Blackthorn Gyms, along with the roads that lead to them? With the end of the road so close, it'd be a shame to stop now.

Oh, did you have prior experience with that sort of thing? You should share stories like that, you know.

It works for Gym leaders' Pokémon. Why not a Chansey?

Mm, are there any gym leaders with Chansey as a pokemon?

None. Whitney uses Normal-types, but no Chanseys.

Then it so follows that there should be a fundamental difference. They're very strong pokemon, though, and very loyal.

And extremely proud of their eggs and their nutritive value.

And we've come back to the sudden lack of eggs. Maybe you should use a different pokemon's, then. Something safer, and not as likely to send you to your early grave.

...They'd also be more useful if they were sold to prospective trainers. I might have a source of eggs, but I still need to buy everything else.

Maybe it's time to invest in pokemon that give almost as much as they take. Those bee-like pokemon make for great sources of honey, I've heard.

I've seen one of those before. Do you know where they can be caught?

Not a clue. [cheerful!] The ones with the large stingers, you can probably raise from a worm. But the other kind I've only seen from eggs.

They must not be indigenous to Johto, then. I wonder how they arrived here?

Or perhaps Johto regularly receives egg showers.

I wouldn't be surprised. They probably employ their own fleet of pokemon storks for the occasion.

I'm quite surprised we've not yet seen that species. They seem to have everything else.

A rather unfortunate oversight, isn't it? It makes explaining to the poor children that much more difficult.

Perhaps they use Pidgeots, instead. Or Fearows, those would be common enough.

Hardly the gentlest of birds, though. They'd scare the poor, expectant mothers witless.

The capacity to transport twins or triplets easily would compensate for that.

Only for the few who look forward to that sort of thing. Viscerally useless to everyone else, really.

And transporting children for more than one family at the time would give people the wrong idea.

All in all, they're fairly impractical. Johto needs to do better.

I'd suggest Swablus, if they were local birds.

If we started up a breeding campaign, would that be considered charity for the land?
