[Upon reaching Azalea, Cecil did three things.

First, he admired the beauty of the snow-covered town, and let himself enjoy the peace and quiet, so different from the city that had housed him for over a week.

Second, he visited the local Gym, challenged its leader, and came out of it with a brand new badge and a very proud team.

Third, he reached the Pokémon Center and collapsed on the first couch he found, with his Pokémon spread all over him. Hey, he spent the last nine days walking in the snow, anyone would feel a little tired.

_{[Iris had wondered where Cecil had gone off too. She remembered him saying something about going to meet some friends, but she hadn't been certain that's what he was doing. So, she was immensly relived to find that no only did the number still work, meaning that Cecil had not gone home, and that Cecil was safe and sound, if not a little tired in a place she recognized.]}

Are your friends in Azalea Mr. Harvey?

_{[She pauses and takes in his form, sprawled out on the Pokémon Center Couch.]} Are you alright?

Mmmh...

[Sorry, Iris, Cecil might be hard to wake up right now. However, for your trouble you get a Feebas and a Chikorita who blink sleepily at you.]

_{[Iris giggles, but doesn't try to wake Cecil, instead waving happily at the sleepy Pokémon staring at her. She doesn't recognize them, so she gives them a curious look.]}

Are you Mr. Harvey's Pokémon? You're very cute! _{[Iris speaks softly so as not to disturb Cecil, but Bikini who had been curled up in her lap, perks her head up and looks rather interested by the Pokémon on the screen.]}

[Both of them nod with enthusiasm, and preen upon hearing the compliment. And oooh, another Chikorita on the screen. Lydia comes closer, while Leviathan peers at Bikini curiously.]

_{[Iris looks pleased to meet the new additions to Cecil's team. But she soon looks rather confused, looking back and forth between the two Pokémon.] Mr. Harvey didn't have two eggs did he?

[Bikini seems thrilled to be the center of attention and makes a happy sound.]} Chicka!

[Leviathan shakes her head. Nope, she was the egg. Lydia was already a grown-up when she hatched.

Said Lydia is quite happy to meet a distant cousin.] Koririta!

_{[Iris thinks for a second.]} ...Oh! So, then, one of you was a gift from someone else? For Christmas? How wonderful! I'm so glad Cecil got such a wonderful present.

_{[Bikini prances closer to the screen, tilting her head at Lydia.]} Chicka chica? _{['Why's your trainer all worn out?']}

[Leviathan nods twice and shakes her fin towards Lydia. Yup, a nice lady brought her to their trainer, from what she heard.

Lydia sighs. 'We've been walking for over a week, because he wanted to find his friends. And when we arrived, he challenged the Gym leader without resting first. He only needs a few hours of sleep, I think.']

_{[Iris smiles.]} I suppose I'll let you talk then. Do tell me if he wakes up, alright?

_{['A week? How terrible! He did carry you for part of the while didn't he? And a Gym battle right after that? You must have a tough trainer!' Bikini directs a little glare at Cecil.]}

[Leviathan does the fish equivalent of a salute. Iris will be the first to know!

'He wrapped us all in his scarves, and tied them to the spikes on his shoulders so we could hang there without blocking his arms. It was fun! And then Flare wanted to roast those Gym bugs, and Rosie wanted to try her new attack. So he made a scarf nest for Levia and I on the Gym floor, and we had the best view of the match!']

_{[Iris salutes back, giggles, and then ducks off screen, waving cheerfully as she goes.]

['That's good to hear. It sounds like your trainer isn't so bad after all. That's good. ...I've never seen a Gym battle before? Is it as exciting as they say?']}

[Leviathan turns toward the other conversation, but lets Lydia do the talking for now.

'It is! Normally, Rosie and the others defeat their opponents without blinking, but everyone at the Gym was very challenging. I even got to watch another match on the day I joined my trainer, and that nice Miltank nearly knocked Avenger out!']

_{['Wow! That does sound exciting! I'll have to get my Trainer to take me to see one someday. You're so lucky!']

[Iris can be seen in the background now, holding her newly hatched Happiny in her arms and watching Ronald roll about on the ground.]}

['Which city are you in? My trainer mentionned that his friends would need the badges from Azalea and Goldenrod. You might be able to watch them!'

Leviathan adds her own comments. 'I hatched after the Goldenrod battle, so I missed it. Next time, we should all go together! I'm sure your teammates would enjoy it too!']

_{['We're in Goldenrod. That's where my Trainers friends are, or at least most of them. I would love to be able to watch!'

Bikini nods to Leviathan 'That would be great! It would be just like a party!' Suddenly easily excitable Ronald pops his head on the screen, wagging his tail furiously. 'What? A party?!']}

['You're lucky, then. Lots of people want the Goldenrod badge! Three of my trainer's friends need to get it.'

'Yes, a party! We'll all go watch the battle and then we can all eat together and play in the snow!']

_{['Really? That's great! I can't wait!'

'How cool! Can I come to the party?' Ronald's entire body is wiggling with excitement.]}

['Everyone can come! Our trainers, our teammates, all of their friends... We could all watch Gym battles together!']

_{['Everyone! How cool! Can I bring my momma?' Ronald gives Lydia a hopeful look.

Bikini rolls her eyes. 'She did say everyone could come.']}
