11th moon [Whatever, it's 4th wall time]

[So. Cecil woke up thanks to a strange flash of light, only to find an unknown Pokémon in his room.  How did he react? Why, by inviting it to a picnic and making as many sandwiches as he could, of course!

Well, actually he blinked, froze, stared, almost shouted, decided against it, reached for his sword, remembered he didn't have his sword, cursed his lack of a sword, realized the monster was still there, stared some more, asked if said monster was hoping to eat him, felt quite relieved when it shook its head, stood up, looked outside, saw all the strange people and Pokémon in the street, decided he was hallucinating, woke his Pokémon up, got dressed, smiled, and finally decided to invite the amused Pokémon to a picnic. But who cares about the details?]

And here we were, wondering what would happen this month. At least the colors are not eye-searing, this time. Would you like another ham and lettuce sandwich, Miss Cresselia?

[Rydia stares at them all, wide-eyed.]

How did you do that?!?

...you named them after spells? And Rosa?

It's not nice to sneak up on a young lady, everyone. [Except they look more curious than scary.]

And one of my swords, for Avenger. I wanted a link to home, no matter how small. A lot of people do that. One of my friends even named his bird after his Chocobo.

[But she doesn't want to be rude to the creatures that just appeared, so she waves to them.]

We could try finding them. They left to get a lady friend, but it looks we can teleport today.

[Rydia gets two waves, a flutter of wings and a friendly bark. Oh, and four little faces coming closer. They've never seen a little girl this tiny before.]

They're nice.

...and really? I want to see!

They are both friendly and strong. Thanks to them, I'm never alone in this world.

Let's see, we could try visiting Goldenrod- [Is the whole group suddenly in the middle of a bustling city? How did that happen?] We are visiting Goldenrod. It really does work.

How did you do that? I didn't see you cast a Teleport spell!

I don't know. Maybe Cresselia did? [But she shakes her head. No, not her!]

[Rydia automatically scoots closer to Cecil, feeling safer next to him in the midst of all this action.]

Well...it didn't do anything bad. And we're where you wanted to be, right?

[He scoots closer to her too. He doesn't want to lose her in the crowd.]

It's the city I was aiming for, but it might be too noisy for a picnic. What about the- [Trees everywhere!] ...Ilex Forest. I guess we can teleport anywhere, even places we've never seen.

[Rydia peers around, then smiles up at Cecil.]

This is fun! I like this place better.

It certainly is greener than Goldenrod. [He looks between the trees.] There are many wild Pokémon here. We should set some sandwiches aside for them, don't you think?

[He puts a plate of sandwiches a little further away. Already, a Paras is coming closer and looking at the sandwiches curiously.]

Already? It seems we'll be quite popular today.

Food is always a good way to make more friends.

[And she snags another sandwich for herself.]

[The Paras cautiously approaches and starts poking the nearer sandwich.]

Unless the cook charred it and his guests are offended.
