[The feed shows a Cleffa, a Shuppet and a Metapod watching the thuderstorm from the safety of the Pokémon Center. Their trainer is nowhere to be seen. Until he speaks.]

Has anyone... read stories about people they've met here? People that are from different worlds, I mean.

[The Pokégear is picked up, and brought closer to the window.]

Or- Or maybe you started talking with someone, and you realized that your worlds had many details in common, too many for it to be a coincidence.

[The video is finally turned toward Cecil, who looks deeply thoughtful but somewhat hesitant. He opens his mouth but stops, before he finally decides to speak.]

I think... Maybe our worlds are all connected, somehow. Maybe there is a specific reason we were all... Forget this. I'm overthinking things.

[He ends the feed.]

[She'll be watching Cecil from the other side of the center holding two cups of hot chocolate. Why does ~~papa~~ Cecil look so upset? Well, she gets the hint when he says "Maybe our worlds are all connected".]

Cecil? Is everything okay?

[He turns toward Aerith, and even manages a slight smile.]

It's nothing, really. I was simply thinking about a few discussions I had earlier this week. They were... somewhat unsettling.

[She offers Cecil one of the cups full of hot chocolate.]

My mom used to tell me that drinking hot chocolate helps make serious discussions go more smoothly.

[She'll smile and sit next to him.]

So, what were the conversations about?

Your mother was a very wise woman.

[He takes the cup and sips thoughtfully.]

...A young man who arrived a few days ago knew of me, even though we do not come from the same world. [There. That's a good start.]

She was...

[Aerith still has a few memories of her mother before she was killed in the Heartless invasion. Her and her father too. She'll take a sip of her chocolate while listening to Cecil.]

This world tends to do that sometimes. Did he know you because there's a double of you in his world?

No.

[A double would have been less strange.]

He knew me because he'd seen part of my life. Through some sort of game, he read some of what happened to me back home. He even knew things about me that I've never mentioned to anyone here.

[She'll look at him surprise by his words. This is the first she's heard anything like this.]

R-Really? He knew that much about you...through a game?

[She's heard of people seeing others through magic, but the ones who did that were villians.]

And that boy...isn't your enemy right? Back in my world, the idea of people from other worlds isn't odd because I was living in Traverse Town for over ten years before returning back home. Maybe he was spying you like Maleficent was spying on us?

Apparently. Those games of theirs sound a bit like historical novels.

He seemed like a good person. So I do not believe he is an enemy. ...As a matter of fact, he even asked for my autograph. And he possessed knowledge of this world beyond that of the usual newcomer.

[She'll continue to listen to him intently realizing the idea of people knowing everything about someone sounded a bit terrifying.]

I hope so. It's still odd for someone to know everything about you, but I shouldn't be surprised either. This world is very...odd. Not only does it have the power to take people from other worlds, but from people in different times too.

[Taking another sip from her hot chocolate.]

I believe all worlds are connected. There are many different types of worlds out there. Even more worlds than the ones Sora has gone to. [She looks at Cecil.] I have a theory there are worlds where the Heartless can't reach because the walls dividing them are too strong to be destroyed. Thus those worlds are safe from the Heartless and the Nobodies too. But even so...somehow certain worlds are able to communicate with one another or... [She shakes her head softly.] It's hard to explain, but...I believe something like this might be possible.

[He listens attentively to her theory. What she says makes a lot of sense to him, and gives hope to a wish of his.]

Maybe... Maybe, with this world's help, we could find a way for all the worlds to communicate. Perhaps we could even manage to travel between them, without endangering the walls that keep them safe. [But every time he thinks about this...] ...My world does not have Heartless. But it has its own monsters, its own enemies. Would they attack your world if they could? I'd like to be able to talk to everyone, even from home, but if there is a chance the Heartless could get in, or the moon could get out... Would it be worth it?

Yes! Those were my exact thoughts! If this world is able to take people from different worlds, then we might find a way to somehow keep in constant contact with each other without destroying any type of walls!

[But then his next question caught her attention. She began to think of a good answer to offer him.]

I don't know. I can't really say much about the creatures in your world, but...the Heartless are a plague that is very difficult to get rid of. Even if you could defeat them with your magic and weapons, they won't be truely destroyed because only one weapon can defeat them and that's the keyblade. Not everyone can become a keyblade master. Only a handful of people are chosen.

[But...]

Even if we don't find a way to stay in contact with one another -- We will always treasure the friendships and memories made here. Not only are our worlds connected, but our hearts are all connected to one another too. No matter where we are, our hearts will bring us together again.

But will we remember our adventures here once we return home? As long as we keep those memories, working out stable means of communication is certainly possible. However, some have appeared here, gone home, and then come back without any memories of this world, have they not? This would make everything more complicated. [He sighs. If only they were certain those memories would remain...] Even if our hearts brought us all back together, we wouldn't understand why.

Cecil! [She'll give him a pout.] I always thought you were the optimistic type! It's really disappointing to hear you talk like this!

[The pout doesn't last long because an amused smile will appear on her lips.]

But you're right about one thing -- Will we be able to keep our memories even if we leave this world?

I like to believe we will! Where I come from, hearts are very important -- not only do they keep us alive, but they also give us strength. Hopes, dreams, and goals, all come from the heart. A heart's strength can break through any barriers even the most impossible ones. As long as our hearts stay connected to one another, then it's all the proof I need to know we're friends. Memories or not!

[The positive speech must have worked, because he's smiling slightly now.]

We'll see our homes again, because our hearts are connected to our loved ones... Because we've all connected here, we'll stay friends even after we leave, no matter what... I guess we get the best of both worlds. People's hearts sure are strong, aren't they?

[She's glad to hear Cecil talking so optimisticly now. That's the Cecil she likes to see!]

They are! Extremely powerful! As long as you keep telling yourself this, then you have no reason to fear about the "what ifs"?

You told me a little about the Conflict that all of you fought so hard for! All of you are more than just friends, but also allies and comrades too. I bet all of you will try to keep each other close. That's why I'm telling you all of the believes in my world because I want you to have faith in the strength of your hearts and the connection between all of you. As long as you believe in yourself and each other, then you have nothing to worry about. The memories might fade, but the connection never will! You will all stay connected to each other, no matter what happens.

[In other words, please stay optimistic, ~~Daddy~~ Cecil.]

You're right. You're perfectly right. Back home, I had forgotten all about the Conflict. But now I'm here, am I not? So are Light, and Firion, and Squall and Zidane. We truly were connected after all.

[His smile gets much bigger.]

Thank you. I think I needed to be reminded of that.

[She returns the smile happily.]

It was my pleasure. I really don't like seeing my friends down. I'm glad you're smiling again.

[She takes another sip from her hot chocolate.]

That's definetly the Cecil I like to see. Happy.

I need to stay as happy as I can while I stay here. There will be very little that can bring me joy waiting for me back home. So, until then... I'll do my best to smile as much as possible.

Let's all make sure we smile and laugh a lot. Every single one of us needs it. ...Making Light or Squall laugh might take some effort, though.

[She smiles happily and nods her head at the idea, but she needs to make sure he will continue to smile.]

Do you promie to keep on smiling?

[An amused laugh will escape her lips at the thought of making Squall and Warrior of Light to laugh. Those two really do need to smile more.]

I think we should take one step at a time for those two. I'm scared their faces might crack if they smile and laugh all at once.

I promise. Besides, at my age, if you frown too much you end up with unsightly wrinkles.

[It might sound like a serious observation, but his smile shows that he's joking.]

We don't want that. Thus, we need a long term progressive plan. Should we start with slapstick comedy or with bad puns?

[She'll giggle a little more.]

And we don't want to have unsightly wrinkles, do we~?

[Give her a few moments to think about it.]

Slapstick comedy sounds like a good idea to try first. Something tells me making bad puns should be a good third or fourth step.

They would make me clash with everyone. It would break the visual harmony of the group.

The good old banana peel, perhaps. We'd need to find a victim, but I'm certain there is no lack of them around here.

No, no, no! That won't do at all!

[She laughs softly, but shakes her head.]

Don't worry, Cecil. I don't think you're old enough to have wrinkles form yet. You're not there yet. Trust me.

That sounds like a good start. We just need to find a volunteer who won't mind slipping on the banana peel. Oh! And someone good at acting too. It won't be funny if someone is too obvious about it.

Well, when you get to a certain age, suddenly time seems to go much faster. You wake and you're nearly forty, your bones start aching... [Says the guy with the forties-looking hundreds-of-years-old father. He won't have aching bones for decades, and he knows it.]

Zidane is a trained actor and he'd approve of any plot to make Light and Squall smile more, but he's in Violet. Unless we can stage something over the Pokégear... [Or unless they reach Violet, but what are the chances?]

Oh? You're close to your fourties, Cecil? You look pretty good for your age. My friend Cid and Merlin would be completely jealous of you.

[Well, Cid would be jealous of Cecil, but she doubts Merlin would care. He was a very old wizard and all.]

Zidane? [That name caught her attention.] Are you talking about the same Zidane with blond hair, blue eyes, and has a very charming personality?
