Does she know Ice beam? It would be less painful than either of those options and less likely to damaging your surroundings, too.

Yeah. Used to Pound me to the ground whenever I did something she didn't like. Now she tugs my hair as a warning first. And honestly, she's usually okay about leaving attacks to when we're out for exercise, so it's my own fault for agreeing to spar in the first place...

...She must see that as merely an extension of your regular sparring, then. Is that training for her sake or yours? A Fighting-type might be more efficient.
