I never let him out with any other water types, and I always ask the others if they're okay with it first.

Some of the stronger ones can handle him when he acts up. And Ellie and Elfy pretty much love everybody, anyway.

...They must be extremely tolerant of others' pecularities, to still like him.

Ahh, Elfy's definitely like that. With Ellie, though, sometimes I'm not sure if it's more that or that she just wants to force everyone to be her friend no matter what.

...That also sounds like a very strong personality. Overly strong, even.

...Do you have any calm, relatively mellow Pokémon? At all?

A few. Glen's pretty relaxed. Same with Kaile and Yohki. And the Gyarados, even if Fyn had a scare when she first evolved.

...It's usually a bad sign when a Gyarados is one of the most mellow members of a team.

Eh, I'm more relieved that the one that Ferris named after me ended up inheriting my better qualities than anything, there.

Because she obtained him as a Magikarp? She must have known he'd grow much stronger with time.

I'm not sure she did at the time, honestly... I mean, it's pretty easy to assume that they're just peaceful fish that don't fight, right? There isn't really much reason to assume that they'll evolve into dragons if you don't know ahead of time.

People do try to warn newcomers about it, these days. But they're not always believed.

Can't say I blame them. There's a lot around here that you really need to see to believe.

I find that one grows out of that mindset very quickly, especially during the more turbulent times.
