If it's no trouble, I'd like to hear about everyone's experiences with real estate in this world, especially when it comes to larger homes in Kanto. ...No, forget that, stories from any world or dimension would do. I've never had the opportunity to choose a house before, and I wish to know what to look out for.

I also wish to temporarily trade two of my Pokémon, as they are both more than ready to evolve. Could anyone around Celadon help me with that? I'd appreciate it.

I assume your uncle is a calmer man? [ She's not sure what to make of his statement. Either he's a calmer man or he's off the walls ballsy. Either way is interesting, as, she has noted that Pokémon do end up like their namesakes sometimes, but it's mostly the resemblance that makes the name fitting in the first place. ]

Calmer, wiser, much more likely to use magic than his fists to fight. Fu's complete opposite, in other words.

That does seem to happen. Most of the times, named pokémon develop personalities much like their namesake, though, sometimes, they tend to subvert them and end up being polar opposites. Johto never gives anything else on the spectrum, it seems.

I suggest you control its zest in an unwinnable task, to show that their reckless type of actions aren't very helpful or productive.

Or I could ask him to help with the pond-digging, to channel that energy efficiently. I've no doubt he'll find himself sooner or later even if I say nothing.

Yes, self discovery is usually assured but it's best to speed up the process, as it creates significantly less problems down the road.

Pond Digging? Just where did you get the permission for that? Most of cities I've encountered are rather strict in their structure. [ Jelly rn. ]

Celadon already has a few ponds on various proprieties. The local officials are willing to give permits in exchange for a certain fee. And as long as you are willing to let the local Grimers use it, of course.

That would be immensely helpful, as he would not have the need to rush into battle when he can attack instantly from a distance. [ She'd approve of such smart and swift strategy! ]

Hmm... well, I don't think anyone could exactly control the Grimers. They're rather hard to dispose of and restrict too. [ Team Rocket had one of those silly little "health violations" a couple of months ago. ] It'd be nice to see more greenery in Celadon, anyways. [ For a grass type gym leader head, it is kinda urban... ]

Zen Headbutt is a lovely attack, but he should realize he has other options.

[Options that do not involve spontaneously learning how to punch things.]

Perhaps I should plant some flowers and trees too, then. Or vegetables; I do have quite a few Pokémon to feed.

Perhaps you should have one of your pokémon that knows Zen Headbutt use imprison to disable it for a brief moment.

Some flowers and trees would probably earn you the praises of the local gym leader. And I do think some pokémon are quite interested in eating vegetables, but probably not all of them for the sole reason that vegetables are similar to the grass type.

I'll have to try it with Lily, but it might distract her if she's also fighting...

I'd never ask Lydia, Cosmos or Malboro to eat them, of course. But the others would surely appreciate some variety in their omelets.

I don't think it will. Make sure you try to use some training against wild pokémon and not when it's crucial. Make the system fit them, not them fit the system.

I'm sure they would. It's amazing how varied the pokémon diet is, but they never eat other pokémon.

That would work, if I can find a wild Pokémon that makes his usual strategies unwise. He outlevels most opponents these days.

Considering what happens to humans who try to eat them, I'm not so surprised.

He's reached level 100. Only other trainers can offer a matching challenge now.

In Magikarp's case, it could very well be because the other species know what the survivors could do to them after evolving. Who would want to anger a Gyarados?

In that case, when I reach level one hundred, I'll be sure to challenge you so you can modify his behavior.

Well, when the goal is to eat another pokémon, I don't think they'd hold back because of Gyarados. There are tons of waters with just magikarp that one can pray on. Even then, there are still some carnivorous pokémon, yet, they oddly refuse to eat other pokémon.

It could also be a matter of taste. Between rocks and potential poisonous attack and everything else, most Pokémon could be an unpleasant meal at best.

Yes, but I'm referring to pokémon that are pleasant to taste. In the vast world of pokémon, surely some of them are more appealing to eat than others. Mostly the normal ones, if I were to guess, as no one would want to eat steel, or rock.

I'm not so certain of that. Miltank milk and Blissey eggs might be delicious, but the Miltank and Blissey themselves... I'd not eat anything so pink, personally.

Now, do you really think they'd go after Miltanks and Chansey? That's not how nature works. [ tsk tsk tsk Cecil somewhere an ecologist is crying. ]

Hunting Pidgeys would be too much work for the amount of meat on their bones.

And I suppose the effort against the reward becomes easier when it comes to dealing with large animals like Ponyta? [ She doesn't think so, at least. ] No one ever said nature was fair. Besides, it seems that Pidgey can be killed with clusters if we're talking about electric type meat eating pokémon, or other types of carnivorous strong pokémon.

Ah, yes, I did hear that there are Shinx on route 29, now. They were not there when I crossed it, but I suppose all those birds to hunt were a tempting prospect.

I believe the migrations of pokémon are rather interesting. They shift from one place to the next, but it's never a permanent migration and it never lasts for more than a few days.

What I find strangest about those is that they often happen during locally-recognized holidays. That always looks overly convenient and well-timed to me.

Ah, yes. I've noticed that too. I wonder if the locals created the migration patterns around the holidays, or if they notice the celebrations and move for that reason. I've heard several people say this is a game, so I suppose it's not meant to make sense. But, I'll be lying if I said I wasn't curious on how exactly does the migrations work.
