If it's no trouble, I'd like to hear about everyone's experiences with real estate in this world, especially when it comes to larger homes in Kanto. ...No, forget that, stories from any world or dimension would do. I've never had the opportunity to choose a house before, and I wish to know what to look out for.

I also wish to temporarily trade two of my Pokémon, as they are both more than ready to evolve. Could anyone around Celadon help me with that? I'd appreciate it.

I haven't had too much trouble, but I kind of built my own place from the ground up. If you're looking for something a little less ambitious, though, there should at least be some apartments around town somewhere.

It was tricky sometimes, but I think I lucked out when it comes to scams and stuff. It's... kind of a bad idea to cheat someone who travels around with fully evolved dragons and other Pokémon.

But if you really need space, I could free up some room at the Training Center for now. It's already got one Gyarados and a Steelix hanging around.

Oi, don't go saying that or they'll swindle you faster than you can say "Synchro Summon". Make sure there ain't any mold in the house, the drains work properly, there's been a derattatization recently... y'know, that kinda stuff.

I'd never dare. I've no doubt house sellers are just as opportunistic as weaponsmiths, and those I've dealt with plenty of times. Perhaps I should also ask questions about the soil the house was built on?

Well, I purchased a home and a lab in Kanto. In Vermillion, to be exact. I just walked into the real estate office, they took me on tours on various open homes in the cities and then I made a decision. They're really strict about payments, however.

Such strictness is understandable, considering the value of a whole building. Did they try to sell you houses with visible defects? Or hide the fact that some repairs would be necessary?

No. Generally, most of the houses are well kept. Some of them are less than desirable, but it's obvious that they are. There's never much of an in between. They might exaggerate just how shiny and high class the granite is, but they don't try to actively deceive you. Even then, you can just get another real estate agent who is more honest.

That's good to hear. The type of houses sold here is much different from what my world has, so my ability to recognize design flaws and defects is not quite as honed as it should be.
