[Today, Cecil's Pokégear offers a lovely closeup of a staring Hydreigon. Complete with regular menacing growls and extremely rare blinking.

For two straight hours.

How did Dora get it working with two heads for hands? Who knows! Enjoy the staring contest~]

[Ah, a serious challenger! Dora stares back, radiating an aura of Doom and Pain and Suffering and Not Going To Lose To A Puny Axew.]

*Warden is just staring back. With the most serious stare ever. The tusks definitely help with the lineface effect here :|*

[Ooooh, potential! A future terror in the making, with the ability to someday make the masses cry! Dora would beam with happiness, if she wasn't busy totally winning this contest.]

*well, if by "terror" you mean having almost no sense of humor and linefacing at everything ever....

Though did we mention stubborn? Because Warden is definitely that too. And thus still staring*

[The closest thing Dora has to another terror on her team is a Pidgey-torturer, her standards are low. :|

So is she, and she's even bringing in the head hands. Can he match the triple stare?]

*well, Warden only has one head himself, so.... glaaancing to one side, then the other.... aaand then returning his stare to the first head.... he's not backing down, but boy, three against one is hard....*

[Haha, she now truly has the advantage! ...But she can't gloat without ruining her concentration. Damn.]

*well she better not gloat just yet anyway, because Warden sure isn't giving up, even if the strain of trying to keep an eye on three opponents is showing even through his lineface :|;;;*

[...She's not sure if she should be annoyed or admiring, but like hell she's losing. Even with a Blitzle yelling at her to stop hogging the Gear in the background.]

*this Axew's planning on giving her a run for her money, in any case, because he sure isn't planning on backing down, even if it weren't for the Riolu cheering him on. Though by now he's definitely starting to look pretty strained...*

[Hoho, a sign of weakness! She can do this, she just... needs to last a little longer...]

*can dragons sweat? If they could, Warden would probably be practically dripping with it from the effort by this point, lineface stare almost more of a frown by this point as he tries to continue to keep an eye on all three "heads"....*

[Yes, that right, divide your attention! While she, err, divides her attention trying to keep them all staring.]

*"xeeewww....." ...yup, Warden's definitely straining to keep it up at this point*

[So is she. This is harder than she thought.

...That left hand is definitely not getting cross-eyed, by the way.]

*Well, it's really only sheer stubbornness keeping him going at this point....... in fact, it's questionable if he even remembers why he's doing this*

[If she's the only one that remembers there's a contest going on, does that mean she wins by default? Because at this point, that's pretty much the only win possible for either of them.]

*That's a very good question, really. But it doesn't change the fact that Warden's not going to give up staring.... and staring.... and staring....

.....until eventually, while his stare never falters, per se, he finally reaches the end of his stamina and effectively keels over, flopping backwards with a grunt as he passes out*

[Haha! A win! She's won, she's won, she's-

...Oh. Oh dear. She interrupts her victory dance to peer at him in worry. Hey, kid, you okay? You're not dead, are you?]

*Well, Warden's not responding, but as the camera's still on you can see that riolu who appeared at the very beginning checking on the axew. Hey man, he doesn't need to go get the bossman, does he?

...though on closer inspection, Warden does still appear to be breathing, at least?*

[Oh, thank goodness. She wouldn't have wanted to explain that to her trainer.]

...I didn't think my stare could have this effect.

Nah, think Ward just got worn out. Doesn't always know when ta quit.

*Just pokes the prone axew with a paw, getting an exhausted-sounding grunt in reply*

[Yet she sounds a little impressed.]

*after all, if there's no harm done, it's great entertainment seeing Warden go at something so single-mindedly~*

As long as it doesn't get me in trouble, at least.
