[Today, Cecil's Pokégear offers a lovely closeup of a staring Hydreigon. Complete with regular menacing growls and extremely rare blinking.

For two straight hours.

How did Dora get it working with two heads for hands? Who knows! Enjoy the staring contest~]

Insecure? Why would I be insecure?

[She genuinely sounds confused.]

If I find my battle capacities lacking, my trainer is more than happy to help me compensate for it with new attacks and training. Most of the others here are boring, but if I need their help they'll offer it. I have nothing to be insecure about.

[She just likes the screams of pitiful mortals, that's all.]

[...Darn it.

Well, that didn't work with Draco or Quake either. Boo.

Give him a second before he tries something else. Maybe... heh, heh. Normally he'd be against something like this, but, darn it! He's gott be brave, or this Hydreigon will get on his back like Quake does.]

Well... I've seen scarier. Much scarier.

Sure, why not? I might learn a few new tricks, that's always good.

[Terrifying pitiful mortals isn't easy, after all. There's always room for improvement.]

[Well, then he'll go ahead and cart the gear through the hall, into a deep, dark chamber. Swallowing hard, he noses the door open.

Within the pitch blackness, piles of bones and egg shells little the floor. The sound of growling and rattling chains fills the air.

Then a flash.

The 'Gear rattles to the floor, giving a close up view of some gnarly looking teeth and a drooling maw. An Aerodactyl crouches, claws digging into the ground. Eyes bloodshot. Her expression completely lacks composure. It's hard to say if her surroundings even register.

Within seconds, the 'Gear's knocked into the air, and a roar echoes throughout the room. There are no 'words' to it. It's completely baseless noise.

Staring might be scary, but Crush finds Terror even scarier.]

[Dora spends the first few seconds staring, open-jawed. And then the next few, and the few after that. Until finally-]

...It'd take me years to get that good.

[Said with a mix of surprise, sheer panic and professional admiration. A part of her wants to ask for tips, and the rest kinda wants to go hide behind her trainer right now.]

[Terror's eye twitches at the noise, and she rears around, launching herself at the gear. Chains rattle.

She lets out another roar. Once again, it's mostly baseless. Garbled. But some of the roaring vaguely sounds like...

Upon watching Terror freak out, Crush slips into the room. A wave of water washes over her, knocking her back towards the wall. With that, he rushes for the 'Gear and scurries outta the room, slamming the door shut.

Whew.]

She's called Terror for a reason!

[If he sounds a little shaky, well... facing an irrational dinosaur will do that. Yikes!]

...Not a very friendly conversationalist, is she? Thank goodness for Surf.

[Dora totally doesn't sound shaken. At all. Nope. She sounds perfectly composed and very definitely not alarmed by the whole display.]

She's never friendly. Ever.

And all she ever says is...

[And this would be where Crush does his best malicious voice. It probably doesn't sound all that scary.]

KILL. CRUSH. DESTROY. ATTACK. EAT!

And sometimes... EGGS!

I can get the attack, eat and egg parts, but the rest of it must get old very quickly.

[She's sounding more composed by the minute, but it'S obvious she would not care for a personal meeting.]

Yup. That's why she's kept in that scary room by herself.

[And, frankly, she can stay there. Those teeth... and those claws!

Don't mind the shuddering dragon here. He'll recover in a sec.]

I'd take creepy staring over drool and roaring and stuff any day.

[Translation: Dora isn't that bad.]

Hmph. Plenty of people out there have lower standards. I'll just scare them instead. Besides, with a face like that I'd make them go away permanently. I'd rather get to scare them over and over again.

[Alienating the free entertainment would be a very bad business model, and she's a lady with standards.]

Are you sure you're not a ghost type?

[Then again, that's kind of a dark type thing too. Probably. Maybe.

He's not very in touch with his dark side.]

Nah, that's Avenger, and he'll be the first to say that he's mellowed out over the years.

[The disappointment in her voice is strong.]

[Whimper.]

I'd trade Phantom for a mellow ghost any day.

...Think our trainers would agree to that?

[Not that she dislikes Avenger or anything, but a kindred spirit would be awesome.]

[And, immediately, Crush droops.]

I doubt it. Riku never trades anything! He just keeps catching more and more of us.

[Sigh.]

It's bad enough that he got another ghost.

Yeah, they tend to do that. Or they take in others that have lost their trainers, and then we have to deal with their gloominess for weeks. At least a ghost will add some life to your team.

[She sounds very proud of that joke.]
