[The bandages wrapped around most of Cecil's body, along with the fact that he's sitting in a hospital bed, are a pretty bad start. That he seems deep in thought only makes it worse.]

Could anyone tell me if the nurses own any Water- or Flying-type Pokémon? Especially ones that can use HMs? Along with how fast they could theoritically go, compared to a Dragonite?

I'd also like to know about alternatives to shoes. Nothing that sticks to the skin, if that's possible.

I see. Where are you, and why did you ask about shoes? Are your feet hurt as well? What reduced you to your present state in the first place?

It turns out that visiting Cinnabar's volcano with only my weaker Pokémon was not the best idea. According to the nurses my burns should heal within the next few weeks, but until then walking by myself would be unwise. Still, I'd rather not stay here much longer.

Regrettably, that is very far from where I am at the moment. Or I'd visit you and treat you myself. There is no doubt that your recovery would be faster, if it were entrusted to me.

Until you are healed, leaving the facilities you are at by means of stealth could potentially only worsen your situation.

I appreciate the thought. However, I feel the healing process would be more efficient if I left this island. After my few days there, the volcano's presence leaves me... uneasy.

There's no harm in asking, is there? If they truly care about your health, they will agree.

I suppose they must care for us to some degree, even if they favor Pokémon. I'll have to ask. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

How did your injuries come about exactly? Did the local Pokémon attack you?

I lost my way while exploring the volcano, with only my weaker Pokémon on hand. Between the local Pokémon and the terrain itself, my Gear was quickly damaged, and my supplies depleted. By the end, I had nothing left to heal my wounds.

I hope you will agree that your mistake was going on such an excursion alone. If someone else had been there with you, none of this would have happened.

I know; if nothing else, it was foolish not to bring any of my stronger Pokémon. But Cinnabar is quite the isolated island, and most of my friends are staying in the bigger cities. I did not wish to trouble them for what was supposed to be a short visit.
