I'm a sales associate at the local department store. It's one of the highest-paying position available to us.

If I were you, I would demand a position befitting my status. The kind of Baron doesn't work in a store.

...As far as we can tell, this world has no rulers, and the Elite Four seclude themselves far from us. Recovering my status is beyond my reach at the moment.

Even so... it truly does seem like an unfortunate waste of your skills.

Oh, it is. But it allows me to keep an eye on the local economy, and to see what items could strengthen my team even more.

...Well, I suppose I can only use the plural if I round up the months. But it's still been too long.

Time away from home is worthwhile... but not when you're forced into it like this.

Visiting new towns and interesting caves can serve as a distraction from our situation, but I'll run out of those soon.

You must have plenty of time to explore... How expansive is this world, anyway?

That's a difficult question to answer. We can visit two regions that have more cities than our world has kingdoms, but it appears there are others that we simply cannot access from here.

Why would you be unable to access them? Are there no airships to reach those places?

No airships, and the sea routes do not go so far either. I'd try to reach them with my team's help, but as I've no idea how far they are...

Are there many among your team capable of flight?

Not enough to fill a full team, and that is counting Tellah, who cannot bear my weight for more than a few minutes.

Ah, so escaping this place by air truly doesn't sound like an option.

Not yet, though I still hope to find an engineer who could build an airship.

Then I assume that Cid has yet to arrive... perhaps one day.

That would be nice. It's been some time since I last had the chance to travel with someone from home.

I suppose if more of us arrived, it would at least mean we were together, even if displaced from home...

As much as we could, at least, considering those few cases of random teleportation.

Is random teleportation generally a problem here?

It's a biannual inconvenience. We learn to adapt quickly.
