[The room is dark, as befitting the middle of the night. The soft sounds of sleeping Pokémon can be heard, undisturbed. A shadow that appears to be an Eevee can be seen sleeping on a pillow at the head of the bed. Cecil is in the middle of it, sitting up, his skin so pale it almost glows. The sheets around him are rumpled, twisted by an uneasy sleep. He looks tired, but does not sleep.]

I dreamed. I dreamed of them. I miss them all, I think. Even those who are waiting for me. Even those who came here but left. Even those we've forgotten. I hope they do not think badly of us because of it. I'll try to remember their names, next time.

[He sounds lost, somehow. Perhaps lost within a dream. Perhaps lost within a memory. But he soon shakes his head.]

So many opportunities, yet I've never asked. About any of it, Conflict and home both. Well, he never volunteered the information either. All that talk of foolishness and crystals and plans, but he never bothered...

[He interrupts himself.]

I apologize. I appear to be overly sentimental tonight. The exact date matters little in the end. I should simply choose one and be done with it, after all these years.

[He reaches out and closes the Pokégear.

Not that he'll sleep for the rest of the night.]

Yet instead we must make do with broken memories and the few of us that are here. Even so, undoubtedly we will learn with time.

...Some psychic Pokémon can read thoughts and minds. Perhaps they could be helpful, if we feel the need to learn more quickly. They might be able to help us retrieve more of those memories.

If it is as you said, and Cosmos is the cause of this, then I have no doubt that we shall remember what we need to as it is necessary.

Unless she is only able to start the remembrance process, with no control beyond that. Though I agree that if she can choose the pace of those memories, we should be fine.

Then we shall attempt this, and if it does not help to return our memories more quickly, we shall know the reason for it.

Do we have access to any Psychic-types? I doubt asking Gogo to imitate one would work.

I do not, but it is possible for us to catch one, or ask someone who does.

We could always ask Suzuki. She does have Cosmos and her Lily.

As long as you believe we could trust her with this.

I doubt she'd ask them to cause us any harm. Besides, Lily is very sweet Pokémon.

Very well. Then we should ask her, if neither of us catches a psychic type soon.

Or receives a mysterious egg containing one. I wonder if it'll happen again?

Nearly anything is possible in this world.

To be honest, I'd rather see any of our comrades in New Bark Town than a mysterious egg on my pillow. That should be even more likely.

Fortunately. And if they remember the Conflict, perhaps we might ask them of this as well.

Even if they do not, I'll be glad to see them. It's been ages since I last spoke to Terra or the Onion Knight.

And it has been a great amount of time since Tidus or Cloud appeared in this world, as well.

Nearly... four months? Five months? More than half the time I've been here.

I believe so, yes.

I hope we'll not stay long enough to celebrate the anniversairy of their departure.

Yet if we are to disappear from this world, I hope it is because a way to our own worlds has been found, not because we have merely vanished from this place.

Hopefully. I'd not want to cause anyone else pain by disappearing suddenly. And I'd not want to lose anyone else, either.

We have no control over it, but it is my hope as well.

...We'll find a way to leave at will, someday. We have to.
