[The view of route 31 is nice enough. The sun is peeking between the clouds and shining upon the snow, which looks pure and untouched... Except for a small section where a Dratini is attacking every wild Pokémon he sees while a Feebas cheers him on. Luckily, their trainer is feeling too nostalgic to scold them.]

The last Pokémon I caught for myself was Esuna, nearly a month before I first reached this city. It happened not too far from the cave, in fact... But since then, my team has grown through eggs and gifts exclusively. Is it the same for anyone else?

[The camera is still pointing at route 31, but it turns a little toward the south, toward the city that lies beyond route 30.]

I'll leave for Cherrgrove tonight. I'll reach it soon, I promise.

[And the camera turns back to the training Dratini, until the feed times out.]

Those little lizards with flames at the end of their tails? I've not been in contact with enough of them to know if they tend to share the same temperament.

Karen is... fiery. [Subaru laughs a little.] I think she'll get calmer as she gets older, but right now she's easily excited and forgets herself.

As long as she does not turn her fire against you, at least.

She has yet to do so intentionally.

With all the Fire-types running around, the inns should invest in fireproof bedsheets.

They really should. It would be extremely convenient.

Would we have to talk to each innkeeper individually, or do you think all are part of a single franchise?

I'm honestly not sure. I suppose we'll have to ask them, as well.

We truly know little about the way this world is organized, when it comes down to it.

Mm. I've been trying to find out more, recently. If we all share information, it makes things that much easier.

People share with their friends, but there is no true information network, since people disappear and reappear at any time.

Yes. It's hard to glean information properly. It would be easier if there was a way to-- add in an informational tab to the PokeDex, or something similar.

Sadly, I am far from adept with machines. I could not help much with that.

I couldn't, either. All of this is far beyond what we had back home.

The only computer in my world controlled a robotic giant, and we had to destroy it. Even the cash registers are beyond our technology.

Mm, we had things like that, but-- the PokeGear is beyond what we currently have. Not so far that I can't see it becoming popular eventually, but not for another decade or two...

It is rather useful. And it must include functions we've not yet discovered.

I've been trying to figure out more about it, but I'm afraid I'll break it.

Should that happen, the nurses can give you another. But they might be annoyed if it happens too often.

I'd rather not risk it. I'll wait until someone more experienced works with them.

Do they offer tutoring about machines and their workings? If we cannot find someone more experienced, learning about them could work.
