[Cecil's bedroom is currently extremely chaotic. Of course, any bedroom would be considered chaotic, if its contents were being packed up in a hurry by five Pokémon. Why isn't Cecil taking care of it himself, you ask? Because he's busy wrapping a Dratini egg in enough scarves to keep it warm in a blizzard.]

Everyone, I'm returning to Cherrygrove to meet up with Edward. If anyone has any deliveries to make in Violet or Cherrygrove, I can take care of them. I will also welcome any travelling partner.

[He almost turns off the Pokégear, but pauses. When he speaks, his voice sounds uncertain, hesitant.]

...Light. Bartz. Zidane. Squall. Do you think... Do you remember... [He shakes his head.] Nevermind. It's not important.

[He finally cuts off the feed.]

If Pokémon spread to all of our worlds, newcomers to Johto would certainly feel less disoriented and confused.

Yes. I don't think I'd mind if they came with me, when I finally return home. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that they can...

Some Pokémon are found by others after their trainer disappears. But a few are never seen again. Perhaps...

...Maybe they return with their trainers. That would be nice. The people back home, if they don't arrive here-- I know some of them would love these Pokemon.

I have no doubt your team would receive much fawning and pettings from your friends. I know my wife and son would adore mine, at least.

I've been naming them all after my friends back home. It'll be a little confusing, if they ever arrive here.

I've done the same. Friends, family, even spells... It's lucky I'd not yet named one after Edward, really.

I'll run out of people eventually, I imagine, but until then...

Naming Pokémon after people is a way to honor them both. It's the same as naming a child after a relative. Use as many names as possible.

Oh, I see! Congratulations on him arriving, then.

I-- I think I will, then.

Besides, anyone would be happy to give their name to such sweet creatures. ...Except perhaps a few cases.

I would be honored to have one named after me. It goes both ways, I think.

If a friend from your home arrives, I have no doubt you will get that chance.

...Mm. I'll keep hoping they'll arrive.

It can take some time. I've been here for five months, and Edward is the first person from my world to join me.

I've only been here a fraction of that time... I won't worry about it terribly for now-- there's more than enough other people here that are friendly.

Kind people do seem to outnumber everyone else, though some of our fellow outworlders care little about others.

I've only met a few who seem genuinely mean-spirited. [he's sort of dating one of them...] It's relieving, really.

There were some bad cases in the past, but I've not heard of any violent crimes for some time. Perhaps our general quality is improving.

I hope so. It seems unfair that new arrivals like us would cause damage to a world that isn't ours.

Yet some refuse to live off anything other than crime. And since the local authorities are so inefficient, they get away with it.

[Subaru looks slightly downcast.]

I suppose, in some situations, it's really the responsibility of the rest of us to stop people before they do damage.

If I remember correctly, a few people tried to stop the burglar who attacked Goldenrod's Department Store. But I do not remember hearing that the man responsible had been caught, sadly.

That is sad. I hope that it acts as a deterrent for other criminals, at the least.

For those who act independently, perhaps. But many are backed by Team Rocket, and encouraged by them.
