17th moon [video action]

[The feed first shows a messy room, where a disheveled white-haired man sits at a table and writes furiously. He is surrounded by trinkets of all sorts and books on various subjects, and he does not appear to realize that someone is using his Pokégear.

The camera then turns toward the ground, where a Bayleef is delicately placing a Fire Stone. The Pokégear is placed in front of it, and a Clefairy looks at it for a few seconds before nodding at an unseen Pokémon. Said Pokémon enters the picture, looking at the Fire Stone for a few seconds before touching it. It makes him glow brightly.]

What the- Flare?

[But by the time Cecil turns around and comes closer, Flare the Growlithe is no more. Instead, Flare the Arcanine stands proudly, dwarfing the rest of the Pokémon in the room. He howls once, twice, before walking up to his trainer and licking his face gently.]

...Thank you...

[The feed times out a few minutes later.]

You're telling me. I've got an eight foot alligator on my team, not to mention a six foot dragon. Feeding them's tough, but I figure it could be much worse.

Yeah, they're not like an Onix. Those things probably eat enough to feed a whole team.

Who knows? Some Pokémon don't evolve; maybe Onix is one of them.

I don't think so. Most seem to evolve at least once. Think the only one on my team who hasn't is my Rotom.

That's right. They were harder to find than all the others, though.

Yeah, normal types don't do much to ghosts. I'm lucky I had a few different types by then, otherwise it might've been tough.

I guess that's one way to catch them off guard, I just prefer to stay on the offensive. It's extra training for my team.

Defense and strategy are important. I just prefer to keep attacking, so my enemies don't have a chance to strike back.

Status effects are pretty useful. It's how I beat Falkner, but with Whitney, all I had to do was use brute strength. My Nidoking was at a huge level advantage, and he knows a fighting type move.

Can't say the same about my team. More than half of them are males.

Nidorans look different, depending on their gender. They evolve into different Pokémon, too.

Beats me. Wonder what makes Nidorans so special.

True. And the ones with no gender can still breed somehow.
