They play mean-spirited pranks, not caring that the store's employees will have to clean that up, not thinking about the poor overworked janitors who would rather be at home, safe from the whims of the storm, No, they care only about their amusement, leaving behind snow piles that-]

Would a forest green lipstick look good with my coloring?

I am. And eyeshadow, foundation, powder, rouge, mascara, nail polish... I need to stock up while I'm in Goldenrod.

So it really is a full department store in Goldenrod! I'll have to make a trip there as soon as I get to the city; I definitely could do with proper haircare products instead of what is offered at the Mart.

What color nail polish? Do they have cuticle oil for sale, too?

It has everything you can think of, I assure you. Well, except for swords. I can finally buy clothes that can be worn in this weather without looking ridiculous.

Even without moving my head, I can see three brands of cuticle oil. As for nail polish, they have any color you might be thinking of, and then some. There's this opalescent cream that would be absolutely lovely over a layer of black, and a dark blue that turns almost royal under the light.

There is a conspicuous lack of weapons in this world. Maybe the training of pokemon negates the necessity?

Oh, I do miss winter fashion shows...

I'm going to spend so much money when I get to Goldenrod, not even joking. I absolutely must buy a manicure set; being in Hell is no excuse for having hands to match.

I do like my Pokémon and believe they are good fighters, but I'd still like to keep a blade or two.

I saved money for three months, in order to buy everything I want. I do not regret the long hours spent in Pokémarts anymore.

I would rather not have to use my cooking utensils in an event that would warrant self-defense.

I'm glad that it was worth it. I think I would die of boredom at a Mart.

Well, I did find a rather sturdy frying pan, but I'm afraid I do not possess Lady Sheila of Fabul's talent for blunt objects.

I nearly did, myself. But I was not in a state to do anything more complicated than stocking shelves, when I arrived. So I stayed with the shops.

I know someone with an unusual talent for frying pan attacks, too.

It takes a long time to adjust to this place. It's... really nothing like anything I expected or have seen before...

[Cecil sympathises.]

Frying pans are excellent for enemy soldiers and sleeping husbands, apparently. She even bought herself a ladle, to use on her daughter.

It wasn't a matter of having problems adjusting. It was a matter of not having the capacity to register that I had to adjust.

Or for attacking perfectly innocent bystanders just attempting to visit an old friend.

There's no way to fully adjust here, I think; we're given so little to go by that it's almost impossible to figure out even where to start. And then people seem to disappear so often, too...

[He winces.] Some people always overreact upon seeing people they do not know.

I was lucky; four of my friends were present, and Rosie was reliable enough to compensate for my failings.

She's a loose cannon overall, that one.

I... don't like to think of what would have happened without Marianne and if Canada hadn't showed up. They grounded me, at least a little bit.
