They play mean-spirited pranks, not caring that the store's employees will have to clean that up, not thinking about the poor overworked janitors who would rather be at home, safe from the whims of the storm, No, they care only about their amusement, leaving behind snow piles that-]

It sounds like it. [She thinks about it a little longer.] Hmmm, I guess it would really depend on the pokemon and their style of battling, right? Do you have a particular style you use in battles, Cecil?

That depends on my opponent's type. I had to use status ailments and othe non-damaging moves against Falkner because most of my team was disadvantaged. But I intend to have Flare use brute force against the Azalea Gym leader.

Oh, I see. Maybe you should buy a few TMs then. Having a fire type is a big advantage when it comes to battling Bugsy. I know Leon needed to use Mosey against the strongest pokemon in the gym leaders team.

Even if the bugs become too much for him, Avenger and Esuna both have much higher levels than Falkner's team. Bugsy's cannot be too much stronger, or he would not be the second Gym leader.

True, but Leon had a hard time with Bugsy's strongest pokemon. I think you should level your pokemon a tiny bit. The gym leader strongest pokemon tend to be a couple of levels stronger than the rest of their team.

I still need to defeat Whitney and reach Azalea. I have more than enough time to train before I challenge him.

Okay, then I wish you luck on your next gym badge. I just wished I could watch you battle.

I hope so. There is so many people I want to watch battle, but can't. [She sighs.] Everyone is scattered all over Johto, after all.

If only we could remember those three days, we'd know why that is. Some people were sent extremely far away; none of it makes any sense.

I've been trying to remember anything from those missing three days. It's impossible to travel from Violet to Goldenrod City in only three days. No matter how fast your pokemon can run.

...I think Leon remembers a little bit from those three days.

And Goldenrod is not even as far as Blackthorn, yet a few people woke up there.

...I think I dreamed of people I know. And sandwiches. I woke up surrounded by old sandwiches.

Blackthron? [She looks surprised.] I didn't even know there's a town with a name like that.

Do you remember anyone in particular? [And wonders.] Sandwiches?

It's far to the east of Ecruteak, beyond Mahogany.

My wife and my best friend. And thousands of sandwiches, any kind you could imagine.

Oh, no wonder I never heard of it. It's really far.

Hmmm, do you remember your conversations with them? [She giggles a bit.] Do you love sanwiches, Cecil?

Not really. Only vague impressions... I like them well enough. They're the only meal I can prepare, so I had to like them.

That's too bad. It would have been nice to remember any of the conversations you had with them.

[More giggling.] Well, you're better at cooking than I am because I tend to burn or just ruin any type of meal. Or at least, Leon and Yuffie told me so...

[She doesn't believe them.]

You cannot possibly be that bad. Are they picky eaters?

Sometimes I wonder if they are or aren't because they seem to enjoy Cid's cooking. I don't think I'm as bad as they make it seem.

Perhaps they dislike your favorite spices? Or maybe they prefer their meat slightly less cooked than you like it?

Well, at least, they like my barley tea, but Leon seems to be the only one who doesn't like it at all. [She looks a little sad.] I even add a little more sugar to his drink hoping I could find something he would like to eat or drink.

Have you tried other flavors of tea? The problem might be with the barley itself.

Tea was hard to come by back in Traverse Town, so it was rare to have any other type of tea that wasn't barley. I believe Cid was only able to find barley tea whenever he travelled with Leon to other worlds.

[She sighs a bit.] If there was am easier way to get any other type of tea, then I would have made othr types of tea too.

You can use this as an opportunity, then. Buy a few teas, see which ones he prefers, and take note of them in case you manage to find them in your world someday.

That sounds like a great idea, Cecil. Why didn't I think of it sooner? I've seen so many different types of tea at Goldenrod City too. Maybe I'll finally find a tea he likes...
