Yes. Especially people like Sister Bikini. She's so kind to everyone and she took such good care of me...

...It's been several years now. When my father remarried, he didn't want me, so I was sent to Hazakura. Ever since then, Sister Bikini has been watching over me.

I didn't mind really, Hazakura was a lovely place. But Dahlia wanted me to help her get revenge on our father. I refused but...she carried on anyway.

That's alright. Dahlia and Miss Valerie were prettier than I was and more talented as well...My mother always preferred Dahlia to me anyways, so I was quite used to it.

That's still no reason to give you up. Too many children are separated from their parents due to war or sickness. There is no reason to add to their ranks on a whim.

Yes. Dahlia has been through so much. It is my wish to be able to shield her soul from any more damage, but I'm afraid I've failed in that regard.

There are steps that people can only take by themselves. No matter how much you wish to protect her, she still makes her own choices, in the end.

Unless you were the type to strangle kittens, I truly doubt you were a horrible child. Even parents can have irrational reactions and impossible demands.

You could always encourage her to reach her goals through legal means, instead of violence. Help her build herself a new life here, in hopes that she will be satisfied.

S-Strangle kittens? No...nothing like that. It wasn't impossible...they just wanted me to be more talented...I'm afraid I was quite horrible at channeling spirits. And, because of where I was raised, spiritual power was everything...

Not having a particular talent does not make you a horrible child, even if that particular talent is important to a community. You merely had a different vocation.

And in a stroke of bad luck, those people can be found here? In that case, she might stop if they all returned home, but...

Being a Master is only one job out of thousands. I have no doubt you could have easily become a treasurer or a teacher, and been just as helpful to your community. Did your Mother also put that pressure on your sister?

Warrant last only two weeks in this world. She could easily live in peace, were she willing to stay away from her would-be victims.

Yes...but it was the only job that mattered to my mother. You see, she was meant to be the master herself. But her younger sister had more spiritual powers...ever sense then, she has wanted a daughter powerful enough to take the place of her nieces.

Yes...Dahlia was also pushed to become a Master. She had more spiritual power than me, but not by much. Not nearly enough to become the Master. Dahlia has always hated Mother because of that...

Succession crises are always painful. Everyone's legitimacy is doubted, siblings turn against siblings, There are fights and assassinations... It could twist the mind of anyone, but young children are the ones who suffer the most.

Could she create another identity? Live as another person, in a quiet little village?
