12th moon [video/action for Burned Tower]

Well, I've finally found a building of historical and mythical significance.

[The video is somewhat dark, but Cecil can be seen, looking attentively at the walls.]

I was unable to visit the matching tower, sadly. But the associated legend is rather interesting. One Pokémon reviving three others... That would take more than the equivalent of a Phoenix Down. Or of a Raise spell.

[He takes a Revive from his pocket and shows it to the camera.]

I also managed to find a few items between all the rocks. Hidden objects and capsules that serve as treasure chests; it almost feels like home. Has anyone found interesting objects on the road?

That would be strange, considering bags are cheap enough to buy them for hundreds of newcomers.

Maybe they find themselves better than the newcomers?

He bought it for his son at the Euride Gorge, if I remember right. Chocobos in Cocoon are farm-raised ones.

For his son? How sweet. If they start spending time and training together often, he should have a good mount in a few years. That's quite the practical present. [Ah, the joys of living in a world where chocobos are not obsolete.]

I think it would live in envy of the bigger Pulse chocobos though.

If it starts living off the same diet, it might be able to catch up to them, unless the size difference is particularly great.

I'd hope so, or it would feel left out. Even the chicks are larger than it is.

Even so, strength has nothing to do with size. It might not grow quite as big, but who says it won't be able to outrun them all easily?

No, they don't. Just themselves.

I wish them luck, then. My kingdom once tried to make its soldiers train their own mounts. It backfired most amusingly.

One was so spoiled and overfed it was twice its ideal weight, another ended up trying to peck the eyes of its trainer and its trainer's wife, a third was unable to jump over obstacles but could waltz as well as any dancer... They decided to go back to professional trainers rather quickly after that.

They couldn't tame them at all?

They had no idea how to do so. They were simply told that these were their future mounts and that they had to train them. Some managed to raise strong chocobos, but most tried their best and simply failed. Of course, a few years later the chocobos were set aside in favor of airships, so it didn't matter much in the long run.
