Lunar Gym Info/Requests
The Gym
The Aesthetics
Seen from above, the Lunar Gym resembles a hexagonal sun in the middle of large gardens. Seen from within, it is a mix of large rooms with white surfaces and black furniture, with little other color to be seen. The lighting, while usually coming from round uncovered white bulb, may sometimes be replaced by the purple flames of a Chandelure. The effect can be either soothing or unsettling, depending on one's preferences.
The Gym is open from Monday to Thursday, from dusk to dawn. But is it truly empty at other times?
The Gardens
Gardens that surround most of the gym, separated in five sections. Various pathways run through the north, southeast and southwest sections, sneaking between hundreds of night-blooming flowers. A few lanterns shaped like full moons are spread throughout, allowing visitors to behold the grounds at their best without risk of injury. Large basins surrounding a fountain take up most of the space in the northeast and northwest gardens. Both pathways and basins are built from mirror pieces, polished daily by Cecil's team.
The Entrance
A pair of entrance rooms, functionally identical. These are the only rooms with decorated floors; someone paying attention to the ground will recognize that the black spots covering the tiles are small symbols, representing the various types a Pokémon can be. Strangely enough, it appears that the black arrows connecting them have been incorrectly placed, and are now pointing in the wrong direction...
The Corridor
A pure white hexagonal corridor connecting the other rooms. Well, mostly pure white; some of its walls are adorned by a set of six paintings, each odder than the previous:
- A fire so great and terrible, the sea that surrounds it is boiling;
- A long frozen lance, piercing an ornate metallic shield;
- A large spider, feasting on a helpless bird caught in its web;
- A dragon, falling from the skies as lightning strikes it;
- A tiny fairy, engulfed by a menacing fanged shadow;
- A brave warrior, marching unharmed through pools of acid.
In addition, a PC found to the south of the room allows challengers to select their favored type of match, and randomly chooses Cecil's team if necessary. It also allows challengers to make changes to their own team.
The Waiting Rooms
Twin rooms at opposite ends of the Gym. Each includes three large, comfortable bean bag chairs and a large table, to allow challengers to relax and rest before or after the battle. Pokémon are welcome, as long as they are not too large or destructive for the premises. The doors can be locked from the insides, allowing for privacy, though one must remember that Cecil has many Pokémon who can kick them down if needed.
The Kitchen
A normal kitchen, with plenty of counter space, all the appliances one might need, and room for six. Challengers are welcome to prepare themselves a meal after arriving or before leaving, though they can also eat their fill from the leftovers stored in the fridge. Cleaning after one's self is, of course, basic courtesy. A door leads to the back garden.
The Study
Cecil's study, containing a work desk, a large bookshelf and another of those bean bag chairs. Cecil naps there in between challenges, when he's not busy with maintenance or paperwork. Off-limits to challengers, barring a personal invitation. A door leads to the back garden.
The Battlefield
Mirrors, mirrors on the walls, ground and ceiling, who is the strongest of them all? Their presence makes battles visually interesting, certainly, but perhaps they hide secrets of their own...?

Two types of battle are available: Regular Matches and Mirror Matches.
Regular Match
Explanation: A match against one of four existing teams, randomly selected by the PC in the corridor. During regular matches, Cecil is somewhat more merciful; in fact, a challenger whose attacks are not quite as effective as they should be may lead him to use weak attacks that should not possibly cause damage...
Prerequisites: None, though a full team of level 100 Pokémon is strongly recommended.
Regular Match Randomization Form:
Name:
Randomize me!
Regular Match Strategy Form:
Team:
Strategy:
Mirror Match
Explanation: A match between two identical teams at max level, available only to the strongest and most confident trainers. During a mirror match, Cecil offers no mercy. An overconfident challenger who does not understand the Gym's theme is in for a bad time.
Prerequisites: A full team of level 100 Pokémon, from species that Cecil also trains. An understanding of the Gym's true nature is strongly recommended.

Strategy: Ford is sending Roswell out first, mainly to set up a Trick Room. That's her first order of business because three of the six Pokémon he's brought are slow as heck and in this kind of battle going first can do a lot for you. Roswell can then Thunderbolt Zira into next week with her disgustingly high special attack. With Trick Room in effect she's also faster than Terra, and since Gardevoir is now weak to Psychic Roswell should have no trouble taking it out (finally a good time to use Synchronoise!) -- though if she does, she also knows Recover and can Protect in a pinch.
This is mostly so she can survive through Terra in order to reset the Trick Room before she goes down, allowing Skadi to come in and go faster than Firion. Skadi's going to be setting up Stealth Rocks, banking on her high HP to take at least one hit so she can use the next turn to Stone Edge. If Stone Edge hits, great! If it misses, Ford will have Skadi use her lower power but higher accuracy Rock and Ice attacks instead. When Firion falls and Longjing comes in it will ideally take some nice damage from the rocks, and hopefully be right about when the Trick Room's running out. Skadi's going to keep going with her Rock-type attacks against it for as long as she can, and when she faints Claudia is going to come in. She has plenty of Flying moves to deal with Longjing if she needs to, though in an ideal world she won't have to make an appearance until Ice-bro shows up. When it does she'll be ready to meet it with plenty of Poison moves plus the ability to Roost or Leech Life to regain health.
Which leaves Bavarois. As usual, Ford brought the Ninetales, and he'll be setting up a Sunny Day right off the bat and then hitting that Goodra with some extra-powerful Fire moves that are further boosted by his Charcoal. He'll also be trying to use the bright light in combination with the mirrors to make it more difficult for Bavarois to see what it's doing and hopefully give Mr. Fox another leg up.
This is of course assuming everything goes as well as it possibly can for him. In case everything doesn't go as well as it possibly can, in the back are Titania and MIPS. Titania has a good host of Bug, Steel and Normal moves with some others thrown in for flavor, and if she has to come out and use her Sturdy ability to fire off an Explosion to deal with an opponent who's proving particularly pesky she will. Ford might employ her against Firion and Longjing if either of them give him serious trouble. MIPS meanwhile has a widely-varied list of moves and can take a hit and give a lot back if Ford needs a moment to rethink strategy or potion someone up. He won't be bringing a huge amount of restorative items and he won't use them unless he's really in a tight spot, though. He likes to play things pretty close to the wire.

AS FOR SPECIES UHHHH Tell me about potential Aerodactyl, Tyrunt or Lileep, I'm lookin to get Ford more Fossils.

Lileep
Moveset A: Ancient Power, Return, Protect, Substitute, Sandstorm, Round, Rock Tomb, Natural Gift, Tickle, Stealth Rock
Personal rec: ...Man, it's lucky Mortblossom is monogamous, because Lileep's partner pool is pretty boring.
Tyrunt
Moveset A: Earthquake, Horn Drill, Return, Rock Smash, Strength, Iron Tail, Round, Brick Break
Moveset B: Ancient Power, Stealth Rock, Round, Return, Rock Smash, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Dark Pulse
Moveset C: Bite, Thrash, Earthquake, Strength, Rock Smash, Return, Stone Edge, Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Attract, Round, Dragon Dance, Ice Fang
Moveset D: Bite, Thrash, Earthquake, Dragon Tail, Strength, Rock Smash, Return, Toxic, Facade, Round/Dragon Dance, Ice Fang
Moveset E: Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Horn Drill, Dragon Claw, Strength, Rock Smash, Return, Iron Tail, Aerial Ace, Dragon Pulse, Round, Dragon Dance
Moveset F: Bide, Earthquake, Dragon Tail, Return, Toxic, Strength, Rock Smash, Iron Tail, Round
Personal rec: Movesets C and E are particularly sweet, but everything's usable in there. I'd like to point out that every single one of those babies is born with Earthquake. No child should be trusted with such power.
Aerodactyl
Moveset A: Take Down, Giga Impact, Roar, Swift, Natural Gift, Dragon Breath, Fly, Rock Smash, Dragon Pulse, Sky Attack, Return, Iron Tail, Earthquake, Round, Flamethrower, Steel Wing, Roost
Moveset B: Agility, Return, Round, Fly, Captivate, Roost
Personal rec: I cannot in good conscience recommend moveset B, unless you find the image of an Aerodactyl daddy with an Oricorio mommy truly amusing.
