91st moon [the 4th Wall of Jericho]

[Ah, it's that time of the year again. And unlike last time, Cecil wakes up in his own bed (even though he'd been on his way back from Saffron when he fell asleep), surrounded by his own Pokémon (and Grimers, but at this point they're almost part of the family), and with his own belongings exactly where he left them (except for his left sock, but he's long learned to expect that).

He's safe, he's in a good mood, and he intends to stay that way for the rest of this madness. And this time, he's even in a position to share the joy with any visitors!

Which is why he's now grilling all sorts of food on a fire pit in his yard, while his Pokémon are bringing chairs and large cushions outside. That they manage to do so while linked to each other with duct tape is somewhat impressive, but he's too busy not burning a steak to admire their efficiency.]

That greatly depends on how quickly you learn not to eat near alleyways.

I'm sure that's always good advice in general.

Of course. But I find it to be particularly important in this world.

This world does seem to have many unique perils... is there anything else I should know of?

Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to climb or jump off the ledges. For you will`break your arm if you make the attempt.

Have you forgotten that I'm a dragoon?

I've not forgotten, but this world cares little for your talents. It'll let you go down, lure you into a false sense of security, and when you'll try to come back up, well...

[He's seen it happen a thousand times before. He knows how it always ends.]

Is it truly so problematic? Surely this can't happen all the time or everywhere throughout this world...

[That would just be a nuisance to someone who likes to train his skills constantly.]

Not anymore. Those who have spent years here know better, and newcomers learn quickly.

I suppose that they would. Still, my abilities have never let me down.

[Stubborn dragoon is stubborn and all.]

Neither had mine, before I awoke here.

I've learned to compensate for that loss with Pokémon, but I must admit that it still bothers me at times.

I can see that it would, a great deal. It would certainly bother me at all times. You must be very busy with your creatures.

[paladinlost]

I am. I've never had to personally care for so many living creatures at once before.

[dragoon_pride]

It seems they're even more work than Eidolons must be.

[Which always go on back to the Feymarch in between summonings.]

They are, if only because I must feed them. Can you imagine having to prepare meals for Leviathan or Bahamut?

I dread to consider. The world surely couldn't support their appetites for long...

[paladinlost]

...And yet they somehow manage to sustain themselves within the Feymarch of the moon.

[dragoon_pride]

Somehow... Their ways are forever mysterious, truly.

I suppose they can eat monsters, but considering that some of those monsters can also be Eidolons...

[dragoon_pride]

That's a strange thought... I hadn't considered that as their option.

[paladinlost]

...I'll ask Rydia for details whenever I next see her. Surely she knows more than we do.

She did live with them for all that time... she ought to know.

Of course. I doubt they forced her to eat all her own meals separately, after all.
