Truly. You'd think a good battle would have left them energized. I think the lack of talented opponents made them lazy.

[But Cecil sounds more fond of them than anything, the silly man.]

That's another badge earned, and four possible paths to follow. It's nicer than having to follow a predetermined route, I must admit.

Unless he happens to have a stronger team, like Sabrina.

What level's Sabrina at? She's the Saffron gym leader, right?

She is. The team I fought was full and at level 100. It was quite the step up from Clair.

Wow. The Kanto leaders must be tough. I'll have to train some more.

Prepare a few counters for Psychic-types. You'll need them.

Is that the type she uses?

Yes. Perhaps this means the Kanto Gyms will all use types not present in Johto.

That would make sense. I wouldn't expect for there to be all the same kinds of gyms, with how many different pokemon types there are.

However, they'd have to double up at some point, if there are more regions. Unless there are types we've not yet met...

Yeah. But there's lots of other pokemon to, so different strategies and stuff.

There could even be Gyms that specialize in double types, or in Pokémon that favor attack over defense...

Or maybe even tag-team battles. There's a lot of different combinations.

That'd make for enjoyable battles. I wonder if we can request it?

That would be pretty cool. If I ever get a gym that's how I'm going to do it.

I'll definitely have to visit it, in that case.

Certainly not. I rarely battle other trainers, especially those who are not local.

It'll have to happen someday, even if you don't really fight.

I know, but I prefer to keep my favorite strategies secret until they are truly needed.

Well, yeah, if you share 'em then people will figure them out. I do most of my training on my own because of that.

I also ensure that my Gym matches are not caught on the network for that reason.

That's pretty sneaky.
