[A hand that must be Rosie's takes away her latest masterwork, leaving Cecil in its place. Cecil, and a small pile of eggs set on pillows.]

It seems my Pokémon team have been enjoying themselves these last few days. Would anyone be willing to adopt the results? P1500 per egg, and for P100 I'll add one of my handmade pillows. You can also simply buy one of those, if you wish. I have plenty to sell.

[Enough so that no one will need to take the ones with bloodstains, even.]

[ Fear not, Cecil. Saber stands solitary outside, the cool wind keeping the others inside. Bundled in a thick jacket, she waits with her hands tucked in her pocket, a Flareon resting at her side to keep her warm. ]

[Cecil has no Fire-type out to keep him warm; his coat suffices. However, he does have Rosie the Clefable by his side, and once they arrive she stops mumbling reassuringly to the egg long enough to wave.]

[ There's no shivering or any hint of the cold getting to her as she raises a hand to greet the pair. ]

I do not believe I have seen any like your Pokemon before. [ Rosie's caught her interest, but hardly Hazel's (who just remains at her trainer's side). ] Looks like an excellent helper though.

She is; Rosie was the one who taught me how to use the Pokégear and how to manipulate the PCs. She was a Cleffa, back then. She first evolved into a Clefairy, and then into a Clefable with the help of a moonstone.

[Rosie beams, obviously appreciating the introduction.]

[ Hardly spoken out of sarcasm. No, she's exhaling sharply as she looks over Rosie intently. While she wasn't entirely ignorant to the device herself (Thanks Nasuhax BS and Holy Grail), it's impressive. ]

She sounds as though she has been a wonderful partner. [ When she says this though, her gaze rests on Rosie, addressing her. ] Thank you for taking care of your partner. If only more behaved with such bravery and kindness as you, Rosie.

[ A pause to consider the new term after all of that. ]

A moonstone? [ That must be different from a firestone, Saber assumes as she glances down to Hazel at her feet. ] I have never heard of one before.

[Rosie bows her thanks with a smile. Impeccable manners, truly. The compliment to his little girl makes Cecil beam.]

They are sold at the Department Store, and have been since May. Luckily, too; otherwise we would have had to win one from the Bug-Catching Contest, and neither of us can aim very well.

[ A-Aw, she's so cute. ]

Ah, so that is where one acquires these stones. [ Now she knows how to repay Merlin. ] Bug-Catching Contest? This place sure holds strange competitions..

[Of course she is, she's a princess.]

That one is not only strange, but also impractical. It cannot take place during the winter, because of the snow. That was troublesome, before all stones were available for sale.

[ Then she should be treated as such by Saber. ~~Which is the inevitable conclusion to all of her interactions.~~ ]

So no one was unable to acquire stones for evolution during the winter? [ A nod. ] That does seem troublesome. Are there any other competitions of that nature these days?

I've heard of the Safari Zone near Cianwood, but that one has strange rules, it seems. It's also rather far away. However, the variety of Pokémon available would make it worth it.

Interesting. Do you think it to be a fun activity?

[ She might be asking for reasons totally unrelated to Pokemon. ]

It should be, as long as you enjoy travelling and spending time in the wilderness.

It seems more natural to me than any other activity within this realm.

I never found training Pokémon particularly unnatural, but then again summoning is a very respected magical art in my world.

Summoning spiritual familiars?

Not quite familiars. They have their own world, with its rules and flow of time, where they spend most of their time. ...A closer world would be 'gods', or something resembling that.
