41st moon [action]
[This afternoon, the sky above Cherrygrove welcomes an uncommon visitor. One that has not been in the vicinity for months, and who certainly never had the time to fly over the city before.
Quite frankly, even the change of perspective is not enough to make Cecil appreciate the view.
But he's not here for leisure or for the scenery. He's looking for Suzuki, which would be why Kayne the Dragonite tends to dip whenever they see a dark-haired trainer.
Or, well, any trainer. Cecil does like to speak to bright-eyed newcomers, after all.]

[However, as though on cue, the sound of something padding through the sand will reach them, and Toothless's Bagon starter will come loping over the dunes. She's sort of been tagging along with him at a distance, on account of him not being overly friendly to what, to him, seems to be a smaller dragon following him around in hopes of stealing his food.]
[As irony would have it, she's a lot more attuned to other humans than he is...]
[Action]
Ah, it seems you are indeed. This one is a Bagon, yes? Have you been training it for a long time?
[Normally, this would be the point where Kayne turns his attention towards the actual dragon that is not off limits, but after that scolding? He'll try to find Psyducks instead, thank you. He does shoot Toothless an annoyed look as he starts walking around, though. Cecil appears not to care.]
[Action]
[Toothless, however, doesn't... appear to be listening to Cecil. He's too busy giving Kayne a smug smile.]
[... Which the Bagon actually ROLLS HER EYES at a little bit before looking back up at the other trainer. SHE APOLOGIZES FOR HER MASTER, MAN.]
[Action]
Cecil just ignores it all and gives the Bagon a reassuring smile. It's probably for the best.]
Such a well-mannered young Bagon. Do you like berries and beef jerky?
[Action]
[Needless to say, the Bagon chirps hopefully at the mention of jerky and berries. YES PLEASE OMG, she's sick of having to fend for herself. Toothless won't share his food.]
[Action]
Cecil's smile widens. Fatherly mode has successfully been activated.]
You're in luck. I always keep quite a few treats, with the large team I have.
[He starts looking for said treats in his bag.]
[Action]
[The Bagon becomes visibly excited when Cecil starts to rummage through his pack. Oh man, this is how things are SUPPOSED to be! Not... having a trainer who acts more like a wild Pokemon than an actual trainer.]
[Action]
Meanwhile, Cecil finally finds his food stash.]
Ah, there we are. Which would you rather try first?
[Action]
[The Bagon doesn't seem picky at all-- she's merely dancing from foot to foot, stubby tail wiggling.]
[FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD--]
[Action]
Not Cecil seems to notice or care.]
That's a 'both', then? There you go.
[Jerky and berries. What more can one ask for?]
[Action]
[NOT MUCH. The Bagon certainly isn't picky-- she'll take what she can get. She happily snatches the meat and berries from Cecil's hands, wolfing them down.]
[Action]
[Cecil is just glad it makes her happy.]
Does your trainer have any other Pokémon? Are they also hungry?
[Action]
[... And then he notices the Dragonite starting to ... um... aim.]
[What.]
[The Bagon, on the other hand, nods immediately, and then turns to bound away across the sand briefly, before running back with a Pokeball clutched in her claws. Bopping the button with her nose, she releases a ... Magikarp.]
[Which proceeds to lie there in the sand.]
[It's not flopping. It's just staring up at Cecil with a horrified, glassy-eyed stare. Because the last time it saw a human, it wound up lodged halfway down that human's throat.]
[Action]
While Cecil proves his usefulness by taking out his umbrella and continuing the conversation as if nothing was going on. What, he happens to like Magikarps.]
Hello, little one. Are you also hungry? I have treats appropriate for a Magikarp, if you wish.
[Well, appropriate for a Gyarados, but it'll have to do. At least he's shielding them both from the upcoming Krabby rain?]
[Action]
[The Magikarp, on the other hand, still looks sort of terrified in that way that fish permanently do, but it tentatively begins to start flopping its tail.]
[Action]
Cecil likes it a great deal less, but he still sportingly catches the poor little Krabby that almost hit his umbrella, even as he starts rummaging through his bag again.]
Please wait a moment, they should be right there...
[Action]
[Toothless just... continues to shuffle up and eventually over the dune because ... because CRABS. He keeps staring at Kayne in utter incredulity.]
[The Magikarp and Bagon, though, are completely enthralled with Cecil because he is now the food-giver. And it is amazing.]
[Action]
...He might or might not have said that Toothless' father was an old Caterpie and his mother a used Ditto, by the way.]
Ah, there they are. Berry-flavored cookies and pork jerky. Is that to your liking?
