A year, to the day. That's more than acceptable for the first part of an adventure. Or perhaps I should say that obtaining this last badge is an excellent way to celebrate my first year in this world?

[Cecil's hand finally closes around the badge, and he brings the Pokégear up to look at the sky instead.]

Would anyone know why the professor cal- No, nevermind. It's not important at the moment. Badges and anniversaries should both be celebrated. If anyone in Blackthorn wishes to join me, I'll pay for the meal and drinks.

Congratulations for the badge.

Thank you. It feels strange to think that I've achieved the goal I was aiming for all these months. I thought I'd disappear long before that.

Many of us have spent almost a year here. Feels strage in some way...

It is, somewhat, but I'll worry more about it after the second or the third.

Guess that's true. Still, sometimes it's hard to believe that we have been here for a whole year.

It seems like such a long and short time both. Perhaps because there are so many things to see...

It's the idea of a new world, right? See what it can do and that.

Fight everything it can throw at you, meet new people...

This world will never stop to surprise us. 'M sure of it.

I'd like to think that's the case with every world. It'd be a shame to know everything about a land.

Haven't been in many other worlds like to say that, but I do agree that it would be a shame to know everythin' 'bout anythin'

Even knowing everything about our own Pokémon would be too much. I certainly appreciate it when they surprise me.
