[Like much of Johto and Kanto, Cecil's backyard has been invaded by a group of angry fossils. Two of them, in fact; a swarm of Cradilies and a band of Omastars have apparently started a war over that tiny piece of land, neither side willing to back down and move elsewhere. Add to that Cecil's team, protecting their home, along with the local Grimers trying to reclaim one of their favorite pond, and you get a very interesting image.
...Or at least you would, if Cecil wasn't busy filming the Lileep and Omanyte pair blissfully snuggling on his roof instead.]
I know we are to defeat or capture as many fossils as we can, but is stopping them all truly necessary? While they are obviously rebelling against their families, those two look harmless at least, and I've no doubt others-
[He has no doubt others are more than willing to use hastily snatched Grimers as ammo against innocent people's faces. Because that's what one of the Cradilies just did. And the damn Grimer doesn't even have the decency to not drip all over the Gear, either.]
...On second thought, we should burn them all.
[Which is exactly what he's about to do.]

[Said with annoyed experience coloring her tone--guess who's got little to no counter against these things and a not-sister almost obsessed with them. Yep. Long day.]
[video]
[A beat. The Grimer on his head keep dripping.]
Besides, the Cradilies are half-Grass-types. That should at least give Fire neutral effectiveness.
[video]
[There's the roar of twin Flamethrowers from her end, but if any fossil met its end at that, it's impossible to hear. Lightning just sighs...Cecil go take a shower.]
Or maybe the ones I'm dealing with are just more stubborn than the ones you've got.
[video]
That's a strong possibility. Mine spend most of their energy fighting each other over goodness knows what. Their eloping children, possibly.
[video]
From the sounds of things, I doubt they noticed they're missing a couple by now. [Although what exactly they were aiming at with that Grimer, she has no idea.] Might be territorial over your pond.
[Vanille would know better. Lightning turns her head to see if she can ask, then frowns as more fire roars behind her. What. A. Day.]
[video]
Do you think there might be a way to turn back time and convince myself not to dig the damned thing. My Water-types love it, but it's almost more trouble than it's worth.
[Tida the Lapras cries out in horror at his words, but finds herself interrupted by yet another thrown Grimer.]
[video]
There could be. It wouldn't surprise me after everything else I've seen in this place. [sigh.] Though it probably has something to do with one of the Legends or something. Do you really want to mess with that when everything else is going crazy again? You could just fill in the pond instead.
[With dirt. Or rocks. Or. something. she doesn't know, okay?]

Ewww... still having trouble with Grimers too, huh? Jeez. I don't blame you for wanting to burn them all. But you were right though, not all of them are bad! Worst Davy Jones here [He points to the Omanyte who gurgles and flails his tentacles in what can only be a friendly wave.] has done is splash water on the floor. Well... that and I am fairly sure he tried to mate with my fiancée's socks... [While they were still on her feet...] But yeah, some of them are just happy to be alive again and more curious than anything. Wish they would pass those feelings along to the rest of their buddies though.
[As if to prove his point, an Aerodactyl swoops down to take a swipe at John, only to get hit with a blast of Night Shade from the Dusknoir as John ducks to avoid the claws.]
The rampaging is, admittedly, getting a bit old.
video;
...A deviant sock fetishist. Well, I suppose it's still harmless enough, unless it ever manages to do more than try. Have you had the chance to rest since it all started?
[Because those freaking fossils are noisy, too.]
video;
But yes, I have managed to get some sleep in here and there between. Save for DJ, none of them have managed to get inside my hotel room yet, which is a good thing, knock on wood. How about you?
video;
[They could be dumb together or something.]
That's good to hear, even if there's a strong chance it will not last. My house is fine; they're too busy with the yard to try and attack it.
video;
[It doesn't even matter if it's alive or not...]
So what about the pair on your roof then? Thinking about keeping them, perhaps?
video;
[Unlike the Omastar platoon he's dealing with.]
I was thinking of it, yes. Their families seem... unhappy with their relation, even though they care more about their territory disputes. Living with a friendly, welcoming group would be safer for them.
video;
[That is... kind of cool, actually?]

Those... Grimer, though.]
