It appears I'll have to watch more than one pair of my Pokémon closely, from now on.

[In the foreground, four Swablu eggs, resting on handmade pillows. In the background, one Altaria and one Dragonite, arguing as ever. In the middle, one Cecil Harvey, sighing.]

The eggs will hatch into Swablus, and I sell them for P1500. If you add in P100, you'll even receive a handmade self-warming egg pillow. To those of you who bought some from me previously, I assure you that the stitches are even, this time.

[The argument in the background becomes louder and louder as he speaks. Another sigh from him.]

...A nice, peaceful vacation in Mahogany or Blackthorn sounds better and better by the minute, I swear.

I didn’t realize you were quite so close.

[He was expecting a longer wait.

[OOC: My cats never seem to notice the time change. Meanwhile I end up dead headed for a few weeks. ]

[Cecil would wave a greeting, but the egg in his arms it'd not be a good idea.]

Being close by is not too complicated, in Violet. Goldenrod would be a different story.

[[OOC: Mine takes the different meal times badly, and the dog is even worse.]]

[No… that could be bad for the egg. Kudos for responsibly not waving. ]

I have heard Goldenrod was a much bigger city, but I haven’t been over in that direction yet.
Astina, if you would…

[The Umbreon digs through Eagle’s bag until he finds the wallet and brings that over to Eagle. Cecil would like to get paid for his egg after all. Eagle counts out the money, before taking the egg and handing Cecil his money. Count it if you like. Eagle will just stand there with the egg giving the other the chance to do that if he wants to. ]

[OOC: Oh well, if it affects feeding time that would make a difference. I always keep a little dry food sitting out in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. Otherwise they wake me up to tell me the food is gone. ]

[Cecil doesn't bother counting. He always has perfect faith in his clients.]

Thank you. Goldenrod is absolutely wondrous. None of the cities in my world come close to its size or its technology.

It should be a fun City to explore once I make it there. I have heard it was the largest city in Johto as well as the one with the biggest store.

It certainly is. Even at night, its lights shine brightly in the darkness... And its Department Store pays much better than most of the available work.

Does it? I worked at the Pokemon Center in Violet City for a while and I found the pay there was pretty impressive as well.

[So maybe he will look into getting a job there, just for a lark, when he arrives. ]

That would be nice! So far I haven’t run into a Pokemon that didn’t get along with the others in its team but I have heard that can happen.

The store is rather upscale, and possesses the best item selection in Johto; they must be able to afford much higher salaries.

My first capture was a Shuppet who felt a great rivalry with my Cleffa at the time. Training them was not always easy.

I do look forward to seeing it. I promised my Pokemon a bit of a shopping spree when we finally made it there. Carrera especially seemed thrilled with the idea.

Maybe I have just been lucky then to have so many Pokemon that get along well together. How were you able to calm the rivalry?

Be careful, then. The store sells some extremely expensive products, and they tend to be the ones Pokémon like.

It mostly calmed down with time, until it was more of a sibling rivalry. Catching Esuna was also helpful, as her personality allowed her to get along well with both.

I was a little concerned that might be the case. I doubt they would all be satisfied with something small but maybe I could at least allow them to make a ‘wish list’ of things they would like to have at some point. Since they have helped me so much it only seems right to try to repay that kindness in some way.

[Listens politely to the little story. ]

I’m glad it worked itself out. Esuna must be quite a peacemaker.

Ask them to prioritize the items in their lists, then. Otherwise, you might not be able to make them all happy.

She is, thankfully. There must be one in every team.
